They are so cute and the set is priced very well. The secondary market is still totally insane too - 25$ graded SSRs, rares selling for 2-3$. People seem very hungry for a Spongebob set.
Ya it is actually 3D embossed. Theirs also some beautiful metal framed inserts. I recently pulled some other awesome ones too that have gems in them or water/glitter filled. They may not all be official but they blow away anything ever released in USA.
Is not liking transparent cards the reason you haven't done a video on the Minions second box style for set 1? All of the cards are transparent and the card numbers are almost impossible to read. I really like the UR cards in those boxes. Very different from the UR cards in the first boxes (the face boxes numbered 1-6) in set 1 and different from the Minions set 2 box.
I don't mind them when they are done well, and I found out from a commenter that the PVCs I really hated from the Barbie set actually have a removable protective film 🙈 and I just didn't notice. With Minions I still haven't bought box 2, or even finished opening box 1 yet. I need to come up with a theme for that...
I pulled a box a few weeks ago. It's got a very good variety of all the rarities. The STR are very nice and wished goddess story went back to their original FR designs or did this instead of their plain white ones.
@@TradingCardArchivist I've seen some videos and pr images of the highest rarity (OR). There doesn't seem to mention any serial, but there are two variants. One with a message in the back by the character and another with a blank letter that they suggest you write you own message. The rarest OR I think is supposed to be the Christmas one with all the characters in a snow globe. I've seen the card but not the back. Promo images says the back is a blank letter for you to write your wishes on.
I've never found one, I've heard that the Kayou sets do have full checklists but you have to be able to use WeChat and search in Mandarin to find them. The best I have is the flier: www.aliexpress.us/item/3256806262582382.html which goes over all the rarity levels and then the box itself which does have counts of each rarity so at least you can make a checklist by card number just not card name.
I ordered a box. The face cards are my favorites, glad they're not rare I'll get lots!

I really thought the top of the kawaii box was textured. Print quality so good it looks 3D.
You are not wrong - it does have a very slight emboss to it on each of those little sponge detents.
