This is honestly exactly what I've been looking for. I've recently gotten back into learning and picked up a Casiotone LK-S250 to use with Synthesia after watching your video but have since wanted to upgrade to a Upright Piano and have been looking at Yamaha. But the price was a bit steep since I feel like I'm still learning so this honestly is right up my alley! Thank you for the overview!
It really helps in making an informed decision about this digital piano. I appreciate how you covered both the positive and negative aspects of the instrument. 🙂
That seems like a good family home piano for the price, with many features and advantages of a digital, electronic keyboard that I commented on in one of your videos a while ago, but with the caveats and cons that you mentioned well.
it really is, i dont know if it was the price thrown out right away and/or the look as well, but sounded very harmonically balanced, nothing crazy or bright. I actually like this more than anything I've heard. I listen to many piano review demoing and find myself criticizing what are sometimes otherwise great sounded pianos.
Thanks. $500? Reasonable. Amazon has it for $579.99. I just purchased an AODSK B-83S 88-weighted key digital piano with a nice black upright piano looking stand (3 foot pedals & stylish music shelf) for our recent college graduate. We wanted something that looks and sounds great, but not too expensive, in case she loses interest and we have to sell it. I also bought the matching padded bench and it looks like a real upright piano. Total cost (2024) $400. A lot of bang for the buck! Equipped with headphones, volume adjustment, multi-tone selection, recording control, playback function, split, teaching function, etc. Input for playing MP3, built-in amplifier, support for external speakers or headphones, suitable for different use scenarios [Ideal for Beginners]: With 128 polyphony numbers 128 Timbres and 88 demonstration songs.
Hey Jeremy...Excellent review! I've heard of the Fesley Brand for guitars. Just yesterday it was brought up they are a full blown musical company making guitar effects and keyboard instruments. And here is their keyboard, you nailed one already! That's a lot of bang for the buck for a beginner. I was surprised at 256 polyphony. Amazing! Appreciate your very honest and professional review. Be Well..
Jeremy, when the Roland FP-E50 arranger keyboard was released, it got lots of rave reviews and blew everything else in the $1000 range away for a long time, especially with their renown 88 weighted keys. But the Go:Keys 5 at half the price is more incredible, albeit 61 non weighted keys and as highly made construction as the FP-E50. And the Go:Keys 3 is a bargain for beginners for $350 if the added upgrades of the Go:Keys 5 is not a must have. What is Roland came out a Go:Keys 7 that had the 88 weighted keys for $750? Or maybe just a 76 key version like they did for the Juno D and Casio did with the CT-S1.
I would buy a more reputable keyboard. First concerns buying a keyboard should be sound quality and durability, not how it looks as a piece of furniture. Those keys are going to get a lot of pounding, and cheap keys aren't going to last. There are many very good keyboards from reputable makers for less than this which Jeremy has reviewed, e.g. Casio CT-SI-76. Also, Amazon often has returned keyboards with a discount and which can be returned if you're not satisfied.
Hi Jeremy. Just bought a Casio AP 300. I couldn't find any reviews on RUclips or any piano forums but I decided on this over Casio AP 470. What are your thoughts. Any review coming soon?
@randokr870As Jeremy points out the Yamaha EW425 is a different type of instrument than what this purports to be. But as a longtime player I’d strongly recommend any inexpensive Yamaha over any no-name “value” instrument. Even inexpensive Yamahas have good quality and can work great for 20+ years and retain some usefulness, playability, and value. Buying this keyboard…. is a gamble at best. It may seem great when it’s brand new - but most of these “great deals” do not last 2-3 years and as a no-name it will have virtually no resale or trade value. Just my opinion. But it’s your money. So do what you want. Buy something and have fun and Good luck!
Hey Jermey I want to get into piano but I don’t understand anything at all 😅 I’m just a 12 year old and I have no clue what piano to get to start can you please recommend me one and my budget can go up to 500 but preferably 280-200
Most digitals (I've had dozens) have awful voicing and a few or more key volumes throughout the 88 keys are horrible, loud or soft. (piano patches) Clinkers and clunkers and worse, annoying not much more than a toy. My Piano 5 is very good with voicing. My RD-2000 has the "tone-designer" to edit the clunkers and loud and soft keys and works very well. The others I've had to sell them since they don't have any editing like the RD-2000. The Piano 5 is "almost" perfect.
Actually, for the $500 I would rather have the Roland Go:Keys 5 with 61 non weighted keys and wait until I can get a Roland Juno D 88, RD88 EX or Yamaha CK88, that later that was originally $2000, twice the price of the CK61.
You're watching a Chines guy making videos about keyboards. Does the fact that he's Chinese make his content cheap knock offs? I have enjoyed many budget audio products made in china, even the best of brands make tings in China and, believe it or not, China has the capacity to make extremely good products, just like every other nation. It's up to the consumer to do the work to ensure they are not screwed.
Agree. I have had a couple lemons but mostly very good Yamahas through the years. But I learned years ago when you buy (shiny new exciting) cheap junk you eventually end up with (broken worthless) cheap junk.
@ First, Jeremy is not Chinese but regardless that is totally irrelevant. Second, I enjoy his reviews on keyboards. But third although I know everyone has a limited budget I really do wish he’d avoid recommending anyone spend hard earned money on cheap keyboards that do not hold up over time. That’s just wasted money. And he’s not really helping his audience by doing that. If you have a limited budget the last thing in the you should do is buy something that may be completely broken and worthless in a short time.
Made in China means nothing, pretty much everything is at least partially, and more often than not entirely, made in China, from low quality products to those of the highest quality. Sad these prejudices are still alive in 2025.

Same here. I saw these and it barely had reviews and the ones that did leave reviews I think were comparing it to Yamaha quality
Even through RUclips this piano sounds really good. In person must be great.
Fesley also builds some great guitars, from what i've seen. Cool to see them also build piano's!

Sounds beautiful 🤩
Very nice! I’d probably spend just a little more and get the Roland FP series…
Except the FP isn't full furniture cabinet style which some prefer.
@ I believe there is a furniture stand for them. But the Fesley does look nice for the price, very attractive.
Thanks. $500? Reasonable. Amazon has it for $579.99.

Doh! So promising, but the lack of MIDI is a deal-killer for this old-timer who is still rocking MIDI instruments from the 80s and 90s.

Great review and you give solid, valuable, customer-desired improvements. I think the company will be grateful to you!
I agree - it's a great instrument at this price point.
Sounds good.
Hi Jeremy can u do a review on the thomann ak-x1100 please thank you.

@@mike_98058 agree completely! You sound like an experienced player.
how does this compete with roland fp10?
I’d like to know too. Specifically the key action feel and sound comparison 😊
I don't like the Roland's PHA-4 action. It's sluggish.
anything from roland will be better than this.
Roland fp10 sound sounds better
How does this compare to the Roland FP 30X?
My exact same question
Need a comparison of this vs Yamaha p145
Hey Jeremy I bought a 61 key keyboard but I’m ready for a digital piano with weighted keys would you recommend Yamaha P45 or the P 145B ?
Hi Jeremy. Just bought a Casio AP 300. I couldn't find any reviews on RUclips or any piano forums but I decided on this over Casio AP 470. What are your thoughts. Any review coming soon?
Not available in France !
In 2025 bluetooth MIDI should be a standard feature above 300$ keyboards.
Would you consider this better than the Yamaha PSR EW473 / Yamaha PSR EW425?
Keyboard Vs upright digital piano. How do you compare apples and pineapples?
@ well, I’m fairly new to pianos, and can’t find differences between them. So I don’t really know if this would be better

I'd love to see you demo a new keyboard playing Chico Marx style 😂
