PSA: I know the crowd might seem mellow in the video. But as someone who was there to see Virtual Self live, like myself, I can 100% say that the crowd loved every minute of it. You’re more of in a trance during the show rather than jumping and head banging the whole time. I loved every minute of this show even when recording the whole thing. Everyone was in awe. If you get the chance, go see it live to experience what my friends I had :)

It always upsets me when people complain about "the crowd being lame"....have you ever seen one tripping or rolling while at something as epic as this?! There's a damn good chance they're not moving bc they're having such an amazing time just trying to comprehend everything. This stage is insane. I could be caught just spinning circles looking at all the lights. Could be caught with my eyes closed hands in the air. Everyone enjoys music differently. =]

I was old enough to attend raves but I didn't know about virtual self or porter yet, I wish I could go back in time and be here. to live in this moment would be the greatest feeling ever, I don't think anything would compare to being able to witness this one hour of absolute art.
This set made me feel things I've never felt before.

It's awesome because its such a niche group of fans that could ID the DDR songs he slips in there. The influence of musical styles from Bemani games is so apparent through all his original music as well as his live sets. Seriously the best shit ever.

Dude going hard!! Anyone whos been listening to electronic music for over 10 years from djs all over the world can appreciate this. Hes throwing old sounds but is able to modernize it. Amazing stuff.

bluex610 it could have been better or even THE BEST if porter use his live stage,as usual porter and his team were like being adapt for a music festival stage,you see that the lighting sometimes miss the beats or etc.i dont know if this true,just my opinion.i just feel that way hehe

Ok after listening to this two times (I listened to other Virtual Self like 5 times before but this one changes a bit), I can confirm that Porter is a GOAT. Imo he doesnt get the recognition he deserves. Top 3 best producers EVER. He can make a banger of every single genre.

I can't imagine what this must've been like live. I have never seen anything like this. Porter is a genius, he really is. This is so fresh, it's literally like he pulled this out of the future. and art is supposed to speak to people...this is so far ahead of its time that I dont think we even have the language to to describe it. truly revolutionary. Both of you are right, i grew up raving in warehouses in pdx then made my way to festivals and porter allowed me to relive the glory days of the warehouses while experiencing something completely new, very much so ahead of its time. We are lucky to have experienced this timeline

I loved looking around and watching everyone as they forgot how to dance and could only stand and watch in complete awe. Being mind blown and enjoying a whole crowd of people being mind blown along with you is the most wonderful and unifying experience :)

I got to first see Porter after years of waiting on NYE weekend, and I got to see him two nights in a row. I’m going to VS next month during Grammy weekend and I’m beyond stoked. Best 2 months of experiencing music I think I’ll ever have.

I didn't catch this set and was at Kaskade at Kinetic Field during the time Virtual Robinson was performing his set at Circuit Grounds, it just turned my birthday when they started. Kaskade's set was fire as always, he did another secret set on the Parliament Art Car later that night/morning and played his Sunrise set.

I showed up at the peak of my candyflip completely lost.. I had no idea what I was looking at but it was beautiful. And his set sent me to another universe... this was the highlight of my weekend no doubt
