G&B is the only roblox game that i consistently look out for my teammates, to the point i'd literally go through life-threatening hordes to save a man whose getting tackled by a runner; If it was any other zombie game, i'd just abandon them for not being good enough to survive, the most teamwork i've done in those games was stick to a big group or help the most skilled player. i think the only reason i do this in G&B is because the most braindead, useless, and broke player can still save you from a grab from a zombie, unlike other games where new players are practically useless in helping the team, G&B new players can save you from a runner [even if they sometimes reload while you're getting tackled].
Igniters are already REALLY strong in certain situations, take for example in the finale of kaub, if an igniter throws his lamp on the stairs all the walls in the burning radius are gonna break leading to a more difficult time. I've even been in games we lost just because so many igniters throw their lamps at our buildings. They do not need a buff they are good enough for what they need to be good at.
Pro tip: when you start burning, look away from where you want to go to, as the game automatically forces you to moonwalk in a straight line a few seconds after you start burning and don't stop.

did you know: there is a thrid place where you can get warmth in berezina, beside the bridge and close to the cannons, there is a tiny broken down shack where you can indeed stay warm
What makes gb unique is that it's a mostly melee zombie game. The difference between this and most other slash and clear games is that, you're not super human. I mean you are, but you don't have god given powers or magic. On the gun side, you have one shot. Make it count. You don't have the cushion of extra shots, a swift reload, or automatic fire. Each shot is important, what you decide to use it on can change the outcome of a match. Make it count. The setting and plot are nice and unique. They prop up the gameplay and give relativley reasonable explanations to why things are. But this gameplay, really isn't something you can find anywhere else.
I feel like the chaplain is the only one in the game that could have god given powers, and maybe the surgeon with how they’re able to heal people from the brink of death

Every special infected are perfectly designed to grab your attention as one misstep or misclick means instant death. Also, the reason igniter is rare to encounter is because he's incredibly game breaking as having him on certain maps has the same effect of a Molotov on left 4 dead.
I remember I was 1 wave away from old guard and a igniter threw it's Molotov on the staircase part in hougoumount were everyone stays and it wiped out every single person in the lobby and the old guard run ended just like that
@@RuRoh_8214 Happened to me too, it was on La Haye Sainte and everyone was in the barn on the ledge that you can get to using a ladder. An Igniter threw their lamp on the ledge and the run ended, it was pretty funny tbh
bearzilla should be in an entirely separate tier from everything else, because HOLY F--- the map requires more coordination than kaub, and takes too long, i got old guard before getting the badge for bearzilla, i skipped dinner from my usual time to get the badge that i was STILL playing the map like an hour and some minutes ago during that time, i do not recommend playing bearzilla after getting badge, no wonder it gets the least votes every time it shows up(or no votes)
3 days after the update, got the badge after 4 hours combined. The winning run took like 100 minutes a server shuffle and about 23 deaths on my end. I was litterally, in the final 15 minutes, praying. Hands and knees, praying. Chaplain and medics pulled through with 3 seperate clutches and I finished the map with 5.3k ping.
Berezina the type of map where it sucks when you have a bad team but is extremely fun and rewarding when you finally get that god squad. Edit: I can’t stand for this pike disrespect
Yea and when you finally have a decent or good team, you get disconnected. Somehow out of all of the maps, Berezina is the only map where I get disconnected, and it's always either we're half way finished or almost finished with the bridge.

See, when you have a GOOD video game, there aren’t op weapons that outclass all other weapons, instead there are weapons that serve a different, usually more niche purpose. And the purpose of the pike is to turn the infantry class into a melee only class. The pike is objectively better than the bayonet, but since you have access to a firearm with the bayonet, it’s debatable which is better. Personally I don’t like firearms that much in this game, so the pike is perfect for me. Personally I like to go with pike/hand axe combo to excel at both choke points/crowd control respectively.
@@Frozenstone72 pike’s hitbox is awful, it has a non-listed zapper resistance, and officer charges on it only affect the tip. The range is nullified because of the walkspeed debuff meaning it’ll only come into play behind barricades or walls. Also it does 5 damage less than the bayonet which changes which wave it can no longer one shot headshot shamblers. Pike is bad and it needs a buff. Only saving grace is that it can be buffed with drums, slightly returning it to its former glory of being the best weapon in the game. (It used to have the fastest swing rate, faster than stake)

In my game, an igniter set the lift on flames, killing everyone and destroying the barrier that seperates the zombies and the lift, killing everyone before the sacrifice could lower the lift completely
Fun factoid! Runners take approximately 5 seconds to kill you, which is the same amount of time you’re locked into the struggle animation with a Shambler! Also, Runners and Igniters share the same HP and do not have health scaling when it comes to objectives and endless :)
Also also, combining Charge with the Musician’s Bugle allows for a really heavy push that benefits the Sabre more than anything else bc of the quick attack rate and +100% damage. You can also parry and stop Zapper attacks by shoving or having a shove prepared at the right moments :)
G&B's schizophrenic editor here, let me summarize the game within two sentences: "G&B is a game where you die horribly or don't die horribly." "Save your teammates, and don't be that schizophrenic fifer."
Not the best zombie game in my opinion it'd be project zomboid. It allows way more creativity and exploration than guts and black powder could ever show
I always immediately play Frostpunk theme: "The City Must Survive" everytime Berezina gets voted. And my god let me tell you, it is the best experience I ever have in this game, holding out in a small run down church seeking for warmth while holding out the undead hordes waiting for the supplies to arrive, every second feels like a minute, the moments that it does, a momentary of salvation so you can bridge ever so slightly with your lads. All of this partnered with an amazing soundtrack elevating the atmosphere that not only do you have to fear the blight, but the cold as well! God that violin is just chef's kiss! Highly recommend checking out that soundtrack, it is phenomenal!
I prefer 1812 overture. The entire song is about 15 minutes long and it gradually builds up and gets more intense until the explosive finale. Plus, the 1812 overture was literally written for the French retreat from Russia, which is exactly what berzina is.
I think one of its main genius ideas is due to how the “Music” is implemented. In such a way that it makes the map (depending which one) 10 times better when the music starts building and makes the situation more determined, tense, or really exciting.
this game has literally more players than the napoleonic games on steam. I was surprised because back then, G&B had like hundreds of players only last year and I came back seeing that 19k playerbase which is among the ranks of the coop games playerbase size on steam. For a roblox game, it is well done and its zombie AI is one of the most impressive ive seen that could contend with triple A coop horror shooters. No one has ever made a successful Napoleonic zombie coop game which is its main focus in comparison to holdfast and mount and blade mods, and to think this starts in Roblox is insane plus this is free to play.
mount and blade napoleonic wars had the anglo-zulu war mod. it was a horde survival and the zulu bots worked the same as reskinned zombies. only like half of them throwed javelins while the rest used melee spears. i had so much fun in that mod a decade ago and it seems to me as a non roblox player that all the napoleonic games on roblox are based on mount and blade NW because they all have the directional attacks and similar looking gameplay in general. BG even has the wilhelm scream it seems like. thats not a bad thing obviously, i saw roblox versions of my favorite gmod gamemodes too.
He's referencing the joke where the devs were gaslighting everyone that the new map would be Moscow (it was actually Copenhagen). It's a bit strange considering that his target audience will be new players, who are more than likely to not understand most of the game mechanics by now and won't get most of the inside-community jokes

To explain some stuff that wasn’t mentioned in the video: G&B isn’t a COD zombies inspired game, it may have took some inspiration but the main game that was referenced is L4D. If u don’t agree just see the similarities and see the old project of the same creators
Fun fact: Before they were fully committed on deving G&B there was another game that they used to work on called “Left 2 Die” which was basically a L4D clone. Later months they discontinued with that game (Forgot the reasoning) and went to fully committed to dev G&B
History nerd here, 1800's weren't mostly fought with melee exactly but it makes sense why do we mostly use melee in G&B, maps are often closed spaces, not really best place to fight with 19th century muskets and zombies also don't stand in line waiting to get shot, that might be imporant aspect too...

First time I played Copenhagen, my team made it to the finale. Fought through then heard the music stop, then I said to myself: “Oh, we did it! There’s a ship that’s gonna save us!” Then the music started playing, *”take out the British crew and Brig-Sloop!”*
Genuinely what sold this game for me was purely the fact that its a zombie game set somewhere near 1803 i have not seen a single game in my lifetime ever come up with the idea of that and this game is truly unique because of that aspect not to mention devs that actually listen to the community to improve their game instead like most who are only in it for the money
Ignitor is far from weak,if not handled properly they can be more deadly than bombers especially in endless since getting burned makes you unable to do anything other than move,plus if you are unable to get away from the fire then you get cooked.They also burn sapper buildings in a huge area

He's not deadly as you can just *DODGE*. but 2nd level: "u won't pass" - there's a horde all around you and you cannot dodge the fire. Very deadly if your in meele range. Or pistol range. 3rd level: "BOYS. RUN" basicly 2nd phase but your ugly ahh team is all around you and this is very deadly.

Zombie stories is also a very good zombie game thats very underrated. You are dropped onto different maps and using modern firearms you and your team have to complete objectives and keep zombies at bay. It kinda feels like your an SCP task force dealing with zombies. It's pretty challenging to play so it is more then point and shoot.
15:44 actually the Pickaxe's penetrations are 3, basically it deals 100 dmgs on the first target then deals 30 dmgs the rest of them Edit: Bonus for the Heavy Sabre, it has the charge ability as the Bayonet and the Pike that instantly kills any zombies it touchs. Its swing-rate is lower than Hand Axe 0.4s but its ranges are really good for crowded controll, deals 42 dmgs almost exactly same as the Hand Axe. Plus its swing-rate is closely the same as the sabre and hand axe.

San sebastian could either be hard as hell or a breeze Kaub will be die around the objectives near the cannon part or win there is no inbetween. Cope-nhangen You will die to the water bucket part, the shoot the gunpowder barrel part or on the ship. Berezina is impossible without your team being made out of Dur à Cuire players and Old Guard users. If you have none of those, you're screwed. Leipzig could be a cakewalk to the end or a horrible death Vardahous- Vardaho- screw it, If you have no sappers or no actually good teammates you are dead. Catacombs could be Really Really REALLY easy or be Absolute hell depending on your team Endless maps could be die on waves before 35 or die on waves after 35.

1:49 I sorry, in the napoleonic where mostly fought with gun, though melee wasn’t uncommon. It be rare to find a soldier without a gun and a bayonet, but, for what I know, rarely with a sword, unless they are an officer or cavalry.

bearzilla should be in an entirely separate tier from everything else, because HOLY F--- the map requires more coordination than kaub, and takes too long, i got old guard before getting the badge for bearzilla, i skipped dinner from my usual time to get the badge that i was STILL playing the map like an hour and some minutes ago during that time, i do not recommend playing bearzilla after getting badge, no wonder it gets the least votes every time it shows up(or no votes)

3 days after the update, got the badge after 4 hours combined.
The winning run took like 100 minutes a server shuffle and about 23 deaths on my end.
I was litterally, in the final 15 minutes, praying. Hands and knees, praying. Chaplain and medics pulled through with 3 seperate clutches and I finished the map with 5.3k ping.
I remember getting 400 francs after beating it with no deaths

Yea and when you finally have a decent or good team, you get disconnected. Somehow out of all of the maps, Berezina is the only map where I get disconnected, and it's always either we're half way finished or almost finished with the bridge.

@@seva7500 It’s not outclassed, it’s called a side-grade. See, when you have a GOOD video game, there aren’t op weapons that outclass all other weapons, instead there are weapons that serve a different, usually more niche purpose. And the purpose of the pike is to turn the infantry class into a melee only class. The pike is objectively better than the bayonet, but since you have access to a firearm with the bayonet, it’s debatable which is better. Personally I don’t like firearms that much in this game, so the pike is perfect for me. Personally I like to go with pike/hand axe combo to excel at both choke points/crowd control respectively.
@@Frozenstone72 pike’s hitbox is awful, it has a non-listed zapper resistance, and officer charges on it only affect the tip. The range is nullified because of the walkspeed debuff meaning it’ll only come into play behind barricades or walls. Also it does 5 damage less than the bayonet which changes which wave it can no longer one shot headshot shamblers. Pike is bad and it needs a buff. Only saving grace is that it can be buffed with drums, slightly returning it to its former glory of being the best weapon in the game. (It used to have the fastest swing rate, faster than stake)

I was playing San sabatian yesterday and an igniter threw his flame directly onto where the haybale platform raiser was, and caused four of us to die.
In my game, an igniter set the lift on flames, killing everyone and destroying the barrier that seperates the zombies and the lift, killing everyone before the sacrifice could lower the lift completely

Fun factoid! Runners take approximately 5 seconds to kill you, which is the same amount of time you’re locked into the struggle animation with a Shambler! Also, Runners and Igniters share the same HP and do not have health scaling when it comes to objectives and endless :)
Oh yeah, Zappers have the same base health as all the other cannibals, it just scales more to compensate for their ex-military/tanky role
Also also, combining Charge with the Musician’s Bugle allows for a really heavy push that benefits the Sabre more than anything else bc of the quick attack rate and +100% damage. You can also parry and stop Zapper attacks by shoving or having a shove prepared at the right moments :)

I always immediately play Frostpunk theme: "The City Must Survive" everytime Berezina gets voted. And my god let me tell you, it is the best experience I ever have in this game, holding out in a small run down church seeking for warmth while holding out the undead hordes waiting for the supplies to arrive, every second feels like a minute, the moments that it does, a momentary of salvation so you can bridge ever so slightly with your lads. All of this partnered with an amazing soundtrack elevating the atmosphere that not only do you have to fear the blight, but the cold as well! God that violin is just chef's kiss!
Highly recommend checking out that soundtrack, it is phenomenal!

I prefer 1812 overture. The entire song is about 15 minutes long and it gradually builds up and gets more intense until the explosive finale. Plus, the 1812 overture was literally written for the French retreat from Russia, which is exactly what berzina is.

I think one of its main genius ideas is due to how the “Music” is implemented. In such a way that it makes the map (depending which one) 10 times better when the music starts building and makes the situation more determined, tense, or really exciting.
this game has literally more players than the napoleonic games on steam. I was surprised because back then, G&B had like hundreds of players only last year and I came back seeing that 19k playerbase which is among the ranks of the coop games playerbase size on steam. For a roblox game, it is well done and its zombie AI is one of the most impressive ive seen that could contend with triple A coop horror shooters. No one has ever made a successful Napoleonic zombie coop game which is its main focus in comparison to holdfast and mount and blade mods, and to think this starts in Roblox is insane plus this is free to play.
mount and blade napoleonic wars had the anglo-zulu war mod. it was a horde survival and the zulu bots worked the same as reskinned zombies. only like half of them throwed javelins while the rest used melee spears. i had so much fun in that mod a decade ago and it seems to me as a non roblox player that all the napoleonic games on roblox are based on mount and blade NW because they all have the directional attacks and similar looking gameplay in general. BG even has the wilhelm scream it seems like. thats not a bad thing obviously, i saw roblox versions of my favorite gmod gamemodes too.

A note for berezina: the damaged cabin also warms you, but is presumably the slowest, it has the advantages of 2 exits and proximity to the bridge.

To explain some stuff that wasn’t mentioned in the video:
G&B isn’t a COD zombies inspired game, it may have took some inspiration but the main game that was referenced is L4D. If u don’t agree just see the similarities and see the old project of the same creators
Fun fact: Before they were fully committed on deving G&B there was another game that they used to work on called “Left 2 Die” which was basically a L4D clone. Later months they discontinued with that game (Forgot the reasoning) and went to fully committed to dev G&B

Ignitor is far from weak,if not handled properly they can be more deadly than bombers especially in endless since getting burned makes you unable to do anything other than move,plus if you are unable to get away from the fire then you get cooked.They also burn sapper buildings in a huge area
Line Infantry main weapon:
-Musket
(Basic gun, deal 120 damage, 10 second reload without fifer, and accurate, dont forget the bayonet)
-Rifle
(Good for sniping, deal 195 damage, 14 second reload without fifer, accurate, and no bayonet)
-Horse Artillery Pistol
(Basically, Pistol and carbine strapped together, both barrel deal 20 damage, Left barrel left barrel has good accuracy, right barrel has poor accuracy)

I call the Sapper Zombies "Splitters" because of what they do to your skull when they get a hold of you.
Zombie stories is also a very good zombie game thats very underrated. You are dropped onto different maps and using modern firearms you and your team have to complete objectives and keep zombies at bay. It kinda feels like your an SCP task force dealing with zombies. It's pretty challenging to play so it is more then point and shoot.

Edit: Bonus for the Heavy Sabre, it has the charge ability as the Bayonet and the Pike that instantly kills any zombies it touchs. Its swing-rate is lower than Hand Axe 0.4s but its ranges are really good for crowded controll, deals 42 dmgs almost exactly same as the Hand Axe. Plus its swing-rate is closely the same as the sabre and hand axe.
