man this is by far one of the easiest ways i've been explained how being colorblind works. You should get those glasses that correct colorblindness and make a video about it!

Wearing glasses is a pain in the ass. If you can live without them, you should.
unfortunately those glasses don't really work that well, not really worth it in the end

Thank you for making this it's a great way to explain my colorblindness (blue yellow) to people and I can relate to the whole "what color is your shoes" thing

The bottom left color circle on that grid threw me for an absolute loop because I didn't know it was supposed to be lines, not numbers.

1:26 I say this daily. Whenever someone asks me "what color is the grass" or "what color is the sky" I just say "I'm colorblind, not stupid"

I have the same issue with color. Didn't discover I had RG color blindness until i enlisted in the Army. They were showing me all these green and red cards and asking me to find the numbers. Of course I saw nothing but one color. I completely understand where you are coming from. Keep up the good work!

So I do understand what you were saying. Regardless whether you're colorblind or not I still really enjoy your videos lol.

Spot on way to describe colour blindness. I have experienced the exact same "What colour is this, what colour is that" nonsense for 25 years. It get's old quickly.
When people find out that you are colorblind, they ask "What color is this?" And if you answer correctly, they say "So you can see colors!" And then act all smug. It's so cringey.

This is prolly the most relatable video I have seen ahaha. I'm still in Highschool, and the second I say "I'm colourblind", they're like what is this and what is that. And when I get the colour right, theyre like "oh ur lying". No im not lol I just figured it out over time.
All of us colorblind people (except the ones that only see black & white) have the same exact problems lol you just described about every single time I tell someone I'm colorblind.

Hey Robbie! Great to know your story, i also have a friend with the same colorblind spectrum and i know it's all the same it's just the way a thing is colored right? Keep up the good work!!! PS. Funnily enough im red-green and i find it easier to tell colours apart id they're next to eachother. If theyre apart, I find it much harder.

As a colorblind person, I find this video hilarious and so true :D also, the problem is with the english word (expression) - color blind. we are actually not color blind, we are shade blind (in most cases), and some languages have it right - daltonico/daltonizam. oh and by the way, will use some of your tips, thanks! :)

THANK YOU lmao I also have deutan colorblindness, everytime I say I'm colorblind I have to explain that doesn't mean I just see black and white, from now on I'm just gonna show them this video to save my breath haha
In Android Developer mode, you can enable colorblind options to make it look how blind people see it (red/green, Black/white, etc.)
It's pretty cool
While these modes do help a little bit, they dont do much. Colorblindness is a spectrum. You have people who are a little bit colorblind, somewhere in the middle, and just colorblind (it is this way in red green and blue yellow colorblindness) the colorblind options are a step in the right direction, but they cater to less people than they help.
I hate how people react finding out you're color blind, I'm one of the less common types of color blindness and I'm actually complete, I see things in black and white or grey scale. And I can still tell what colors are what based on shades, I do have a hard time discerning certain shades of colors and colors as a whole (like blue and purple look the exact same most of the time) but I can still drive and everything just fine.

my stepdads complete color blind and damn was it frustrating having him as help to wire a stereo as I only have use of one arm we only wired one wrong and fried it just returned it to CT
Just as an example, my maths teacher is red-green colorblind too. He once did a lesson writing on the blackboard half in white and half in green, and he couldn't tell the differences. For him it was just the same colour. Just to make your ideas more clear guys :)

Did you ever use colorblind goggles? For example, on a 256rgb color strip how many of the 256 shades can you really notice? or does it became one color???

basically for full vision, your yellow looks the same, so does blue, what you see as purple is wha we would call blue, and what you would call red, we would call brown, what you would call green we would call yellow

I don't have anyone in my family that is colorblind, but my one friend is, and he also can't distinguish between red and green. Because of this, I get the situation you are in, and although you can't easily distinguish between red and green, you still have great taste in terms of the color of cars and their parts.

Same here dude I'm red green color-blind and its so annoying explaining it to people. Alot of times with my car I get similar questions like "why would you match those two colors together?" and its because it looks good to me. Like I've come to terms with knowing that all that matters with my car is that I like it.

Also i find it interesting like dont get me wrong his brz is amazing in coulour but i personally dont find the yellow headlights the way he said liek that explained it right there how it has a noce contrast yet to me its not overly amazing. the bottom 3 on the left are apparently different they arent with numbers the first one on the bottom left i think is if u can see it u have a type of color blindness maybe and the next 2 u just trace the line
