I love the introduction after the battle with Barubary. The track that plays there is epic and it goes right into the theme track seamlessly. Sets the game off to a great start!
I beat this recently, and damn that final dungeon. Didn't get the best ending either cause I went blind and had no idea what I was doing. Is definitely a step up in difficulty when compared to its predecessor.
This channel is so much nostalgic good fun, I've had a blast going through the "back catalog" and watching all your playthroughs. :D THIS GAME, though. BoF is a crazy good series, but I forgot how grindingly slow this entry was. The Simafort/Dungeon music is burned into my brain from when I was 14 and got stuck in that scenario for days. Thank goodness the fan re-translation patch added dash mechanics or I probably never would've replayed it. Kudos to you for replaying the original, I'm going to watch the whole dang thing. XD
I always thought the shop keepers interacting with the player was a unique touch, instead of doing that weird walk in place shuffle when you buy from them.
Not only is it a long game but until you reach that 1 island that has those K Sludge slimes the ones that have more then 999 HP and when they use the DEATH spell it never fails you kill you lving up takes FOREVER.
Wasn't as big a fan of this one as the first; felt pretty rushed in some respects (the less-impressive visuals, having a lot of incredibly useless character skills) and the translation was... amazingly bad, to put it charitably. Still a good game though.
I have tried playing through this game, but (like the first Breath of Fire) the ridiculously high enemy encounter rate kind of ruins the experience for me.
This game kinda sucks. I've spent most of the game so far proving Bow's innocence and it sucks!! I mean the whole half of the game? Too many battles! I think they scripted a bad story line. Dragon Warrior was much better. Just my 2 cents. I'll finish it though...
Here's the sequel to one of my favorite SNES RPGs. Try not to hold the translation against it too much - it is an excellent game.
I really really liked this game, though the high enemy encounter rates were a tad bit annoying, but still better than the first game
The haters can just watch the retranslated version, win/win. :)
Does it not have a fan-corrected translation? I would be surprised if it doesn’t by now
even when it was remade on the gameboy advance it used the shitty translation as it was copy/pasted from the original snes unaltered
@@krystalfan ikr. both BOF 1 and 2. capcom at the time could probably afford a translation overhaul for that

That Capcom logo sound...timeless!!
I’m playing along with you. It’s been years since I played.
Did you remember to hunt using Katt and Bow? Adventurers don't live by herbs alone, but by every tasty heal item the RPG world provided :)

I'm really sorry to hear that you went blind🙁 Do you type using a speech-to-text recognition program?

Thanks! :)
You're a beast if you recorded this entire video in one sitting. Props.
He plays the game combines the videos into one large video
Best rpg game ever
Awesome game!! Best in those days. Thanks for the videos . Respect 👊🏽👊🏽
This is one of my favorite games on the SNES.
I always thought the shop keepers interacting with the player was a unique touch, instead of doing that weird walk in place shuffle when you buy from them.
My favorite game and my first RPG nostalgic 😍
Bow in shaman form is the coolest bof character of them all
Music is very nostalgic
'90s video games at its finest

It's not bad later on when you can just park your town on the island.
I noticed that you level up without finding any battles.. I mean you usually start with 24 hit points yet you started with 48.. how did you do that??
Classic game
Breath for Fire 2 For SNES
Peak hours of soul. Shameful that series fell apart.

Same for me. This one was good, but I preferred the first.
The first one sucked. This one is better in every way

Lol i just started playing it and said the same thing.
Capcom needs make a new breath of fire and I have the perfect design and story board for it
Why does this sound like a Mega Man X game?
It's Capcom. Most of their later SNES games sounded like that.
