The PS2 came with 'DECAY' Expansion only Exclusive for PS2. (And there is a PC Mod.) 6. They also changed the Chargers for PS2 players to go near them since It can be easier. And a Automatic Lock-on so It's easier for controller. 7. They made the Text bigger for Players who play on CRT. 8. Some lines aren't in the Game. Like some bloopers. 9. The Dreamcast port got Cancelled due to the Console Cancelled itself. 10. Blue Shift Expansion was originally for the Dreamcast itself. 11. They added Codes in the Dreamcast chapters so the Chapters can be unlocked using Cheat codes. 12. The Dreamcast Models is the same as the HD Pack. How depressing. It's the reason they added Blue Shift to PC. But some of the Dreamcast HD Models didn't make it in the Retail Version (Steam Version) 13. They made the Maps much easier for Controller people. And they made a Automatic lock-on Feature since the Dreamcast had One Analog Stick. 14. These are only facts for Sven cop-op and the console Ports. I had nothing for Absolute Zero since it's a Remake of the Beta/Alpha. And MMod since it's a good Mod.

It's because of High HD Models and Maps Since it's an Old Console from the 2000's. And Plus, The same thing happens on the Original Xbox when playing HL2.

It's Not a Recreation or a Mod playing as Shephard, But a Glitch. You see, There is a Glitch that when you Die in a level In Black Mesa after getting a Displacer Cannon. You Don't Respawn in the Save you made, You Respawn in Anomalous Materials. When you go to the Loading Zone to get the Suit, It Crashes. I have experienced this Last year and Beginning of this year when First ever playing the Half-Life Series. It's weird that you can Play Anomalous Materials Chapter in OP4 as a Glitch.
21:15 you can activate them in the final game by typing command r_shadows 1 in the console, it used to be one of the things that was broken in the steam version for a while but it got fixed with the 25th anniversary update.
15:18 As much as MMod does a lot of cool things for Half-Life, I have a nitpick with this scene in particular because the room that the scientist gets attacked by these two Headcrabs is supposed to be silenced on purpose, you can even somewhat hear a muffled chatting between one of them and the G-Man before the Resonance Cascade.
I thought the reflection was nice since the original didn't have reflections. And they experimented with shadows. I remember on the back of the box, even for OF also, they showed shadows and I could not understand back then why my game just doesn't have that.

@@MisterMarin I suppose it was to save on resources? Get the game to work on as many setups as possible, that sort of thing. The shadows did not work all that great anyway and I'm guessing that instead of trying to fix it they decided to drop it, again, to save on resources also. Just a guess anyway. I played HL1 on a Pentium 2 with a Voodoo 2 GPU, so I had pretty cutting edge stuff for 1998 I think so never had any problems running Half-Life but for those who had lesser setups maybe the game had lag issues for all I know, never really thought about it that way.

The Sven Co-op models were originally made by Romka. They aren't really official, although some of them are heavily based on the PS2 models. The textures a much lower resolution on the ps2

Hold on,did you try blue shift too? Because the reason it's so short is because it was meant to be a Dreamcast exclusive,(similar to how Decay is on PS2 only) then it got ported over to PC as more of a "mod" than a game,but you should try it,the level and models are similar looking like half-life but THE CODING SUCKS (I can say from experience because the saves took 113 blocks!)
Although in Sven Co-op about the Models they're like 8k Ultra HD kind of Resolution something like that. but the thing is you cannot save the game.....

Still a work in progress but even before the recent update it was possible to play through most of the game, with the most severe "soft-locks" being easily bypassed by using Noclip cvar
@@Eyepoke42they just had a new update but its returned to its demo state with some of the more up to date level recreations. Slowly we'll be getting more of the game the more its remade. So at the moment you have basically the games first couple of chapters up to the end of we've got hostiles and then it takes you to the communication center which is an entirely cut chapter from the game (along with indistrial arts)

The code at the beginning of levels for dreamcast was so you could input it to jump to that level Im guessing. A lot of games used to do that before save games were a normal thing on consoles. But half life has a save feature, so I dont know why its there only for the dreamcast

Question, how can you play the mods of half life with the latest update? The majority of mods on mine doesn't respond or work properly on th3 latest update of HL during anniversary, so how do i make it work.
Hey! I heard it was causing issues. Supposedly they updated it and it’s getting better for mods? But maybe not all of them yet idk! Either way you will have to switch to the pre update version. U won’t have the update anymore but the mods will work! Go to steam right click half-life Go to properties Click on beta Change “none” to steam_legacy pre-25th anniversary build And that should change it back! To get the update again change it back to none Hope this helps!

Idk about the ones directly from Sven coop but u can download new models for the base game. Have you ever tried that?
