I love the filming choice of a retro vibe. And I've seen come of the comments that dislike the ending, I loved it, I thought it was great. Like rooting for someone and then them turning out to be actually insane. Great job. Also, did you write the whole thing? was it creatively all up to you? Or did the singer/songwriter tell you what they wanted?
yeah, the band and their management gave me a CRAZY amount of freedom with this. very lucky. i pretty much just came up with the concept and went at it!
that twist though... this is why you're one of my favourite creaters

Thought I may have opted for a happier ending I feel like the twist was " crucial" to the storyline as the scene was not so much as a random violent act but a reality check, the man destroying the "lucky one" snaps you back into reality causing not only the viewer/listener but the character to remember that you are just dancing around your room using a hairbrush as a microphone

if the ending wasn't there, what would this clip be? Just an 80's copy kinda. You saw a lot of these dancing videos in the 80's, which are great fun of course, but doing the exact same thing now isn't new or original or interesting. The murders? Hell yeah, that makes it interesting and fresh and unexpected because you wouldn't place that kind of thing in the 80's! That's what makes it modern and I reallyyy love it!
