- A Michigan State Police detective sergeant who is facing charges for hitting and killing a man with an unmarked cruiser during a foot chase in Kentwood has retired, according to state police. (June 4, 2024)

His retirement $$ should go to the victims family
The reason he retired is because it doesn't go in his file which allows him to seek employment elsewhere. This is standard procedure for corrupt cops and the Brady list cops!

That was an intentional murder, that should be a 1st degree murder charge. He should be spending the rest of his life in prison.

Send him to prison. He retired so he wouldn't lose his retirement.
most likely he will be acquitted ,reinstated ,compensated with back pay and then promoted

They overcharged because they know he will not be convicted for a murder charge but if it was a manslaughter charge he would be. Sneaky prosecutor and underhanded
The cop escaped the standard bond conditions everyone else gets including, weekly in-person reporting, daily drug testing, a minimum of 12 sessions of counseling, and calling in every morning between the hours of 4:00am and 5:00am and then blowing into the smart machine that analyses alcohol... It's what the system mandates from everyone else who is arrested EVEN when drugs and alcohol have nothing to do with their case....... Courts force everyone to be subservient except cops...

Charging him with murder is a over the top of common reason. There's many mitigating circumstances at play here and lets not forget the MSP were the Good guys chasing the bad guys so in that context this man died due to HIS poor CRIMINAL choices. I think it's a travesty of justice to go after the good guys when one of the bad guys dies.
