Lego Star Wars Stop Motion: Clones VS Droids

- Things are going as normal at this Republic base, when the clones learn of an impending droid attack. With not enough troops to hold the base, they take up battle positions to try and buy as much time as they can for reinforcements to arrive.
This stop motion was made entirely by me. In total it runs about 6,800 frames at 20fps, shot on dragonframe. It's taken me several years to finish this film, because even though I completed the physical filming very quickly (moving all of the legos), I was drawing every single spark, laser, and explosion by hand in paint.net (not a good idea, will not be doing so in the future). Obviously such a task was very overwhelming, so I kept putting it off until it had been a couple years. But, now I had significantly more experience with paint.net than when I started, so I managed to finish almost all of the effects within a couple months.
As soon as the final laser was done, I moved it into Sony Vegas to add sound effects, voices, music, an opening title card, and credits.
I'm very proud of this film. It may not be perfect, but it is living proof to me of what I can do if I just keep working hard instead of putting things off. I do hope to make a sequel sometime in the future, so keep an eye out if you enjoyed this one.

The comedy, the choice of Lego pieces, the quality is excellent. You were able to remaster one of my favorite eras of stop motion Lego Star Wars with this single video. Well done.

Great video. The picture quality brings me back to the childhood of the old stop motions. But so many things to did great. Keep up the awesome work. I kinda hope you keep that more nostalgic/comedic vibe to them
The camera and lack of backdrop definitely instill a very nostalgic vibe, but for the sake of my eyes whilst editing I'll most likely upgrade those two things lol. The rest will stay as it is. Thank you!

The old PizzaMovies 501st Legion videos are the main inspiration that everyone's picked up on, but I can't help but sense a pinch of Base 327 as well what with the multi-coloured walls and incompetent clones. Really well done!

This is my overall favorite clone trooper stop motion EVER!!! It made me want to make a base that isn’t with matching parts, it allowed me to be more creative and make it whatever size I want! Thanks for making this and looking forward to part two!!!! :)

This is pure. Something about the camera, the set design and the fact that we can clearly see the bedroom/basement in the background just gives this video so much charm and sense of nostalgia. Very fun video! Keep up the great work!
Best Lego animation I’ve ever seen
This is hella nostalgia to the kind of animations that were out when i was a kid like base 375 or whatever it was called
Base 327 (by taylor-place productions originally, now by BrickUltra) and 501st Legion (by pizzamovies) were my favorite stop motions to watch and still are, so I definitely take a lot of inspiration from them

This is a modern masterpiece. Perfectly recreates the same vibes of Base 327 and pizzamovies’ videos. This is what Lego stop-motion has been missing. The gunship obviously being brought in by a hand is the best part 🤣
