You do beautiful and inspiring work. What a pleasure to watch. I am thinking of trying to do something I thought might be simple for me. I'm 71 years old so.....Turns out not sure now. Piece is solid oak console cabinet. Partially stained that golden oak, orangey. Partially raw oak wood where we had top portion removed. I was wanting to paint most black and gel stain doors. Problem, how do I match the top raw wood surface with gel stained doors?

Thank you! It would be a challenge to get a color match with gel stain starting with 2 different finishes. You can layer the gel stain and after 3 coats or do it becomes opaque, but then you lose sight if the wood grain, if you were trying to keep that

Wow! What a tutorial. You provide such detail instructions which I love. When the resin is still semi soft and you remove the tape, how do you remove the excess resin that falls of the edge? a cloth? You constantly challenge me to try new things! Thanks Brandy!!! Was this the piece you did for a child's bedroom? Or another piece. :)

If it's still wet, I use a gloved finger or a Popsicle stick. Once it dries you have to use a Razor blade or sand

Hi Brandy, thank you so much for this tutorial. Its really going to help me with my project. Just received my resin today actually. Quick question, can I use a heat gun instead of a blow torch?
Hope Noah & Sean are feeling beter.
    😘

Yes, you can use a heat gun, I do find the torch more effective, the heat gun can move the resin with air flow too

@@BrushedbyBrandy thank you. Scared of the blow torch. 😬
