I have several bead boards I bead on also because like you I tend to have more than one project going on at any given time. I also have cats, one that has a fetish for string, thread and ribbon. She will actually eat them. I also took needles out of her mouth a couple of times and that really freaked me out ! Now I’m really careful to cover my mats, but I have to say that last mat you showed, wow, now that’s what I’ve been looking for. I’ve seen similar ones but they are made of plastic and just didn’t look very sturdy to me and the one you showed has a zipper ! Love it. Thank you so much for sharing Aleshia.💞💫

For bead mats, I use a Vellux material blanket that I cut up to fit whatever base I want. I’ve found them at discount stores or I had an old one that the satin edge was unraveling on and I cut that one up. The Vellux is the material bead mats are mDe from. For project cases, I have found these plastic closing cases at Daisy which are reLly for keeping papers or files. They work great, snap lock and stack easily without taking up too much room. They are about 2 to 6 dollars depending on size. For travel, I use old AOL, disc metal cases lined with a piece of bead at. Remember those tins? Used to get them in the mail. They are awesome for travel beading. I put a piece of bead mat in both pieces and when closed, it keeps things from moving around.

Some great ideas. TY I do love that Cadilac of a project case. Your right it's perfect. I'm going to go check it out right now. I put my project tray under my desk on a small end table that fits perfectly under my desk that I bead at. I'm always getting dog hair, or my Granddaughter comes over & has to touch everything that belongs to me. She can't help herself. If I say don't touch without asking, soon as I turn my back her little fingers are on it as fast as she can. LOL I am happy to see she's interested in all things arts & crafts. She'll even ask to watch your videos with me. She's 4 going on 40. LOL She's my little Devil/ Angel. Mostly Devil. LOL Anyway thanks so much for all the great ideas. I love this kind of videos. I hope you're having a great week. TYFS P.S. Well it's on my wish list. Maybe after Christmas, or if it goes on sale.

To make a bead board I have used a cheap steering wheel cover. I put stuff inside the wheel like quilt batting and in the middle I put cardboard , quilt batting and bead mat.

I would suggest getting some non slip shelf liners, cut a piece to fit and then put your bead mat on it so it won’t slip.

I got a small cheap cookie sheet at Walmart (.97) and glues a bead mat to it. Love it! Has enough of a lip to keep my beads on but not so high that it’s uncomfortable while I’m beading. I have about an inch on one side that is not covered and it’s perfect for stray beads, needles, tweezers, etc. I made a small one with an 8” square cake pan. It’s perfect to take to work or while traveling.

I've put slices of the rubberized shelf rolls under the bead mats on slippery surfaces and it helps to keep the bead mats stable. Works great!!

Love this video! I'm the thrifting queen so I keep my eyes open for ultrasuede clothing and use that for bead mat material. I'm always on the lookout for real suede items, too, since I use that for backing my bead embroidery pieces. I bought one of those bead funnel trays (the small one) many years ago and I've used it so much.....I think I was taking it for granted until you made this video.

Haha! My cat is always looking for ways to steal mama's pretty beads. It's a good thing that she puts her favorite finds in her water bowl.

Loved your video, wish we had stores like you in England. I will have to search out what we have here, or maybe I can persuade my husband to take me to America with empty cases so I can come back loaded with goodies lol tfs

All the tutorials I watch say they are going to put links down below, but they don't show up on my phone. I don't have a computer.
I have been looking all over for the gray separator that you put in your boards and I can't find them. I think you mentioned that they come in sets of three
So you said you would put a link down below where to buy them, but if course, I can't see it. Will you tell me, please?

I know this is 2 yrs late but I'm rewatching some of your storage & organizing videos.
The beading mat that you place in the large "pouring" tray...why not put a rubber shelf liner piece under the mat & that should help with making it stable. I use pieces of them all the time for under plates when I'm cutting something & don't want the plate or pan to move. Just an idea.

If you are annoyed by Bead mays sliding around (like in the funnel trays) grab some of the shelf liner at dollar tree to keep it from doing so!

Michael’s craft store says they accept multiple coupons but not all stores comply. I have 2 Michael’s near me and 1 store accepts multiple coupons and the other says no. So you can tell who gets my business 🤨

Poor typing skills but I found the cases at Daiso.

I have those cases from Daiso! That place is great for finding that kind of thing. I make bead trays out of bead mats put into picture frames and the 8x10" ones fit in the cases perfectly. I have 4 now but totally planning on getting more.
