    I have done MSC in Supply chain management from USD - University of San Diego. My background was in sales and marketing in 3 PL company. I took this course to branch out more in Supply chain and get stable employment with better pay. But for sure degree is not enough. As Stein mentioned that you need added qualifications like advance Excel, tableau, ERP and CRM etc. Good information

    Hello sir, thankyou so much for sharing your insight and being frank.
    I just have one small doubt. I'm planning to work in the customer support/service department within logistics. Would I be required to have knowledge in all these softwares because my job would mainly be about communicating with clients. So I personally don't see the need to be skilled at these softwares if I'm going to work as a customer service person who might in future think of moving into sales.
    Would really appreciate your response. Thank you.
    Ps: was also wondering what area of logistics and supply chain is in demand in the uk?
    There's warehouse management/inventory management, procurement/purchasing, transportation (shipping business). So which of these do you feel is in demand in Uk? I doubt customer service is in demand there, but that's only my assumption

    • @KeinShah
      @KeinShah  Год назад +1

      You do not need these software skills for customer service roles. But it is good to have. Customer service is not really in demand so much.
      All other areas are in demand, it includes purchasing, supply chain management, logistics, import export clerk, warehouse manager, etc.

      Yes definitely. I am no coder myself and hate sql and python and other. But still I'm able to manage pretty well. I only use DAX and that too very little. So coding is not really a requirement unless you want to specifically grow as a Supply Chain analyst.

    Hello Sir! Thank You for this informational video.
    I am a 2020 Mechanical engineering graduate. I have been preparing for government exams since then while doing my PGDBA Finance from SCDL, Pune (distance learning. FInishes in Jan 2024.) I want to pursue an MSc in LSCM from Kingston University. Although I do not have any work experience, I know MS Excel, SQL, and Python, along with basic machine learning (all self-taught.) I plan on using ML in LSCM as a pet project. Also since I have been preparing for govt exams, I am good at working with numbers and Data Interpretations.
    What advice would you give me for my future? What else can I do to improve my chances of getting a good job in the LSCM industry?
    Thank you!!

    • @KeinShah
      @KeinShah  9 месяцев назад

      get a job, put your skills to test in real life. and once you have some (1-2 years) works experience at least, you will know what direction you want to take your career in, then choose to study that course. be it Data Analytics, ML, SCM etc. From your comment, all I can say is you lack clarity. So focus on one area and pursue that

It’s not the university that matters but your networking skills and your will to achieve what you want. Please make good use of your LinkedIn and stay active with inter university activities
      One advice I would love to give is to choose a university and study in their MAIN campus, NOT on their sub/city campuses. For example, I would have loved to be in Northumbria’s Newcastle campus because London Campus is quite dead imo
