I totally agree! Sony needs to make steady shot available in 1080p. Who knows, maybe they will come out with new firmware later that will do so if enough people talk about it.
Cool video, looks like awesome fun. The 1080P @ 60FPS:120° looks great! But I wish the IS could also be turned on, as that is one of the best features of this Sony action cam.
I cut a piece of foam to fit the rear portion of the deck taped it on with some hockey tape the used the sticky tape mount that comes with the camera to mount it to the flat top of the foam piece. Then I added a couple pieces of tape over the mount just to be sure it wouldn't come off. Hockey tape works great and is waterproof. It's what we use to seal our hatches to the boats.
awsome !!!,thanks for not using the gopro,so we can see it as it really is,gopro distorts the true view in a fish eye. damn you drive that pursuit like racer...love it !!!
It's running a Turnigy SK3 3659-1900kv brushless inrunner rated at 1770 watts of power. It was a direct bolt in replacement just had to take the water jacket from the stock motor to put on it. Batteries are two Turnigy 2s 5200mAh 30-40c Lipo batteries run in series to make 4s. ESC is a Turnigy Marine 180A esc. Prop Octura X442 detounged sharpened and balanced. I put links in the video information bar below the video.
They are both great boats. it depends what you want out of them. The Vee hull design of the Pursuit handles rough water better. The catamaran design of the Apparition is more efficient and will go faster with the same amount of given power. I like them both but for different reasons. If I want to go really fast I take out the Apparition. If the water is too rough I bring the Pursuit.
Hey Frank! I was thinking of putting this motor in my pursuit, but I do have one concern. Did you mount the fan drive against the water block mount? Or did you mount it different? and if so and is is against the water block mount would that be ok for the fan not being able to suck air? I apologize for all the questions but I am new to this and have learned a lot. FAST thanks to you channel, I would really appreciate some info. Thank you so much In advance.
Brian Gaston This motor is the same size as the stock one so I used the stock mounts and water jacket. The only thing you may have to do is shorten the 5mm shaft to the same length of stock motor shaft. I don't remember if I had too or not, It's been a while since I swapped motors. There is no fan on this motor so you don't have to worry about it sucking air. It gets all its cooling from the water jacket and water block mount.
Hey can you tell me, I was wondering how the motor coupler tightens to the flex shaft and the motor shaft, I noticed that it has 2 set screws on the motor coupler and also has a tightening system similar to a dremel on how it would tighten to a dremel tip. Does both set screws tighten against the motor shaft and the dremel type tightening system tightens against the flex shaft. Thanks In advance
DiehardRCaddicts Thanks' Frank, That's what I thought but I was not sure because the way I had received it was, one set screw against the motor shaft , the other against the flex shaft and the collet screwed against the flex shaft also. Thanks again you have been a big help as always.
Brian Gaston I used the biggest line I could get at the local hobby shop. They told me it the size was extra large. Make sure to use zip ties on both ends so they don't come off inside the boat. I learned that the hard way, luck none of the electronics got fried.
Best rc boat vid Ive seen. I had a pursuit a few years ago, great boats. Keep up the great videos.
wow nice running...cant wait to run my pursuit this summer..
crazy fast rc! looks awesome !

Nice one guys. I like the under water shots.
Awesome vid, that looked like a blast! Awesome build on the rc boat.
For handling and wake jumping do you think the pursuit or princess would be better?
Looks like a lot of fun!
That was fun to watch! Thanks for upload.

Super cool vid
I really like the video! However, you could use a go pro for the boat, in my opinion, it has a better quality picture and it is smaller.
great video! i enjoyed watching
This is so cool
Great ride!

Not sure, we may need to put the gps in it next time to get a speed reading.
How fast do you think it can go with the set up you have on it as is

gr8 video mate!
That is a nice fast boat
On 4s Lipo I'm guessing 40mph+ but not sure because haven't clocked it yet.
Great vid dude
That is cool!
Whats in that boat? Power wise?
About 7 to 10 minutes before having to charge again depending on how much throttle.

Brian Gaston It's a collet type coupler. The flex shaft side is tightened with two wrenches. The set screws hold the couplerr to the motor shaft

Hey Frank! What Size Water Line's did you use on your Pursuit?
