The funny thing about this is according to an interview with Mercer, his only real singing experience before this was karaoke nights.
Technically speaking, this is pretty okay. Just that, really. The music and layering covers up most of his amateurish problems. If you listen to him doing this without, in FEH, he's improved by quite a bit.

Adya Sengupta he has sooo much potential if he chooses to harness it. I think he has a bit, but if he really continues to work on signing that would be amazing.

I'm sorry, but at this point it's ridiculous. I mean, Matt Mercer can literally do anything, right? I'm not joking around here, how much talent can be crammed into one person? I'm writing this as I listen and just slowly getting more and more incredulous.
Voice acting does involve a lot of vocal training so maybe that is why he can sing so well

Whelp, the Heirs of Fate arc is kinda overshadowing the aftermath of Birthright and Conquest ending. They think a (false) peace are brought upon just by ending the war, but alas the real mastermind whose spark and fueling the war still lurking in the shadows, brewing and scheming their next evil plans..
I always tear up with "Sing with me, one last time" it's just so. Powerful!
Matt has a great voice, though it fun to picture the other characters he voiced can sing too like Chrom and Ryoma.

Imagine if Fates was made into a Broadway musical. This would probably be the last song before the curtain, and the cast could sing the ending verse together. And then everyone goes quiet for the last "You are the ocean's gray waves", which Azura and Shigure would sing together.

In the line "Sing with me one last time" I always feel a little sad... haven't played any route other than Conquest yet so idk what happens in Birthright or Revelation, but "one last time" sounds so sad ToT
Weird, Azura's version is better in my opinion in Japanes, but this, well 10 times better than the original

I like both equally. The Japanese one was just as good, but totally agree about Azura's version.
I have to say that I prefer the english version for all the three songs(counting the Nohr version and the Hoshido version of the game as two songs), I don't know why, but it makes me feel a lot more nostalgic and full of love...
And I'm saying this ad a person who understand both lyrics and is neither english/american or japanese... so to me both Language have the same "foreign" feel XD
