MINTP: LHR. Une planche d’essai pour tester la technique sur une route communale.

The Ministry of Public Works has a specific objective which is to make earth roads usable in all seasons. As such, the earth-road maintenance strategy drawn up for this purpose recommends the addition and use of stabilising products, such as hydraulic road binders, for which Cameroon has chosen to work in collaboration with the Moroccan company CIMAF. The process, which was highlighted on 7 February 2024, was carried out through the mobilisation of human resources mainly made up of MINTP engineers, technical consulting firms, contractors and material resources, in particular a grader adapted to laying works, mixing and homogenising soil and alluvial material, a compactor and a water tanker. Though this is still at the testing phase, there are already reasons to be satisfied. Hydraulic Road Binders or HRBs are special binders used in road construction or rehabilitation, seaport platforms and dams. The process of their use involves treating the soil and/or reprocessing the materials in situ and/or in a plant.
