    I got one of these hooked right now, still powers my custom setup, this time in a house with a mix of home theater and mobile audio components, and it thumps just as strong as the day i bought it new, got to be 20 years ago or thereabouts, i was practically brand new to the audio scene but i remember one of the older kids in my neighborhood, also into audio, he told me "dont shop around for a deck. get a pioneer. you will never be let down. never. this thing has been thumping cars, cribs, garages etc, since i even had something to put it in, and im telling you i leaned on it heavily, like ALL the time. i put this thing through hell, and im telling you what, this thing is freaking bullet proof. best audio advice i ever followed. well that or, "when in doubt, turn all the dials to the right." also solid advice from a registered audiophile

      @@threek4985 I have a 2019 civic coupe ex 1.5t and as cool as it is...I miss my 90s cars. Being able to install an aftermarket CD player. I felt so cool with the pioneer in my 1997 civic hatchback back then. God I miss that car. I bought it in 2002 so it wasn't even that old. Bright red, 5 speed. I spent hrs every week cleaning that car, waxing the paint. Way back before ceramic coatings, and spray waxes etc. Such a great time to be in the import car scene. Still am, just an old man now lol.

    Hay, I'm Pablo, from Argentina.... Could you please tell me if the equipment have got a batery to Get the memory of the radio stations and the clock as well, when the car batery is cut ( I have it in a boat, and I cut the energy a y time I Get out). Thank you very much from Buenos Aires 👍👍

    • @kaknballz
      @kaknballz  3 года назад +1

      There is no battery built into the radio. You could install the radio into your boat like a car if you wanted. Red would go to a "turn on" source, yellow to the battery directly or to a 12 volt source, and black to ground. This will keep your radio stations and clock active. Of course if you don't use your boat a lot it will drain your battery over time. Other than that there is no other way to retain your stations or clock that I can think of.

    Do you know which model wired remote would fit this? I ask cause i have this radio in a boat and i would like the remote part by the steering wheel. Thanks

    • @kaknballz
      @kaknballz  3 года назад

      To e honest....I'm not sure it takes a wired remote. After looking through the manual online numerous times, answering other peoples questions, I'm not sure what the two 1/8" inputs are for. I know one is for a AUX in but no where in the manual does it show or list the back of the radio. It also doesn't say anything about a wired remote either?!?!?! At the time that I made the video I only briefly went over the manual but not in great detail. So I am to blame for any mis-information in the video and for that I apologize.

      Looks like the only EQ settings are Powerful, Voice, Natural, and Custom. The only audio devices I have ever seen have a "concert mode" has been on home receivers. Then again, I don't really mess with a lot of aftermarket radios so who knows.

      @@ltztahoe7379 Unless you REALLY want to run that specific deck I would suggest you upgrade to a newer deck with Bluetooth already built in. Why? Because those modules are hard to come by and when you do find them you find pieces of them. A complete Bluetooth module for those older decks will set you back the cost of a newer nicer deck. You can pay upwards of $100-$300 for the module or pick up a newer Pioneer or other brand deck for the same price with more/better features like RTA "real time adjustment".
