  • Happy New Year 2024! I'm kicking off the new year with a refreshingly easy fix to an Ephiphone Firefly 30 DSP guitar amp. Every once in a while I get one of these projects that turn out to be a simple fix, but they still require some care and attention to detail, and even these fixes provide a learning experience. Hope you enjoy the video!

Once again Ron, I can't thank you enough. I sure appreciate your willingness to work on my stuff, and I sure enjoy watching your videos as you explain what you did to repair it! Have a wonderful day!!

Suppose I had the same situation but the fuse didn’t solve the issue ? I only have a volt/ohm meter. And I can read the schematics . Got signal going in but not out.

Sorry I'm so slow responding to you. I'd suggest you start by making sure you have DC voltage from the power supplies. If you have a voltmeter make sure you have +15VDC across C39, -15VDC across C311, and +5 VDC across C315. If any of these are missing, check the voltage going into the related regulator (Q31, Q311, and U1 respectively). If you have the proper power supply voltages you will have to troubleshoot the audio stages, which I can't go into here. I'd be interested to know whether you have it working yet, and what you found... Thanks for the comment.
