I played one of these in a guitar store and it was easily the best sounding and playing guitar I have ever played. Great guitar, and I love the satin finish.
@@agusg.t.8950 Dude it's been six years since I played that guitar and it still hasn't left my mind lol. I wonder who ended up taking her home.... Not too long after that comment I got a 2017 SG Special with satin finish, which I loved and used for everything when I started my first band. That was my second Gibson, my first one being a black Les Paul Studio that I never played very much. That guitar made me think I just didn't like Les Pauls, so I kinda just wrote them off. Then one day a year or so later at Guitar Center I saw a used 2013 Les Paul Traditional in a slightly darker/deeper cherry burst finish and just fell in love with that guitar. I had NEVER pictured myself playing a cherry burst LP, and quite honestly I wasn't a huge fan of cherry bursts in general, but this one just spoke to me for some reason. So I went and got my old LP Studio that was collecting dust at home and traded it in towards that cherry burst, and I took that baby home with me. Still my number one guitar to this day. I can get so many great tones out of that guitar, especially when using coil taps (which I never ever thought were useful at all until I got this LP and became a huge Jerry Garcia fan and noticed he used them a lot to get his signature tones). I can get everything from a spanky country clean tone to Black Sabbath tones and everything in between out of this one guitar. I will never get rid of that guitar, it's definitely going to be a part of my life forever lol. I still have that SG too, set it up for slide playing and it still gets used every time I play slide. I will definitely get a 335 at some point too; you just can't beat that semi hollow tone. So I basically went from playing all single coil Fender stuff to being a Gibson player through and through (although my tele, which I had recently gotten when I made this original comment, gets a fair bit of use as well, depending on the occasion). I also have a great PRS S2 Studio which I love so much, as well a D'Angelico Deluxe Bedford semi hollow, which gets plenty of play time at home, but not so much when I'm playing live. When I'm playing live, I feel totally at home on my LP and it just feels so right to me. Man, I love me a good Gibson guitar! Also, sorry for writing a novel here lol
@@STSGuitar16 I am a strat guy but looove my Gibsons…I aleo own a les Paul Traditional, is basically a standard with satin neck. Imown two 335, one satin one glossy. Best guitars ever!
@@agusg.t.8950 Exactly, it's got the lacquered top (with the perfect amount of flaminess, btw: great figuring that has that "3D" effect when you move it around in the light but not too much, usually erring on the side of a plain top over some of the insane flames you see on a lot PRS and special Gibson models these days) and the satin sides, back, and neck. Classic '57 pups, coil split for both pups, AND a 10dB boost built-in on the push/pull tone pot for the neck pup, which I find extremely useful. Like I said, I just pick up that guitar and feel totally at home and comfortable, whereas I kinda have to wrestle my tele a lot more lol. I've got a Sonic Blue Strat with Texas Specials in it, but despite being a big SRV fan, those pups just don't do it for me at all when I play them tbh. Way too thin and wiry sounding to my ears, so I'd say I am much more of a 50s style strat pup kinda guy. I know strats are seen as being like the most versatile guitar, and that tons of people play them for that reason, but mine has just never had the punch and sustain that I can get with humbuckers or even with my tele. Always feels weak to me, especially if I'm coming right off playing my LP. I actually did try my cousin's new Clapton model Strat at a gig for a few songs not too long ago and actually liked it a lot, so I guess that model with the built-in mid boost would be my strat of choice if I were a strat guy. Again, sorry for writing so much lol I can just talk guitars all day long man
Absolutely love mine!!! Tried a bunch of them and the Satin to me...sounded alot better then the gloss 335's!! I got the one with the fatter neck and the vintage red changed the knobs to silver tophats amd tuners to old school kluson style! People always think she's older then she is!!😊
Faaaaantastic played and a dream of a Guitar!
Long live Gibson!

Satin neck is so much more comfortable isn't it lol
I LOVE mine

I just got one. Gonna swap out the pickups. DiMarzio 36th Anniversary PAFs are much better for the 335 sound I'm looking for.
Are you Dreke trucks?!
I hate satin finish guitars, electric or acoustic
I love satin finish just right for Neck but the fretboard glossy is perfect for me
dicky alexander no Gibson guitar have glossy fretboard...
