Few things to preface for you, Blitz: -The abbreviation for the Speed Demon Brigade is called S.D.B., though Veron usually refers to it as "the Brigade" out of simplistic endearment. He was the very core of the entire organization, after all. -There is a clear reason why Veron abstains from eating food that isn't from the Chaos Plane. Chaotican digestive systems outside of their home world are virtually bottomless. Veron being a halfbreed shares the same benefits, so he could eat an entire planet's worth of food, and it would only count as one Chaotican meal. -Veron being opposed to Angel Island's destruction out of the fact that it will worsen the situation is in character for him, since he is a person that takes multiple approaches and not stick to a plan that makes things worse. -The main reason Veron looks more shocked here is because these "Deities" are something he has not encountered in his life of numerous oddities and abnormalities that he has faced. Moreover, he's more confused on why these "Deities" are taking that moniker when he knows of actual Deities across dimensions and planes of existence, including the Chaos Plane and the Void. (Special mention goes to the Time-Scope scene. That gave him stark reminders of the Proxy War the first time he fought in it)
