Debatable. But hey... as a purplehead, I recognize the different, yet top-notch, talent both Gillian and Coverdale contribute to shape the two slightly different sounds of the band.
Love Burn but DC is just no match for Gillan in his prime. Gillan created a genre where DC was always compared to someone else. In the 70s it was Paul Rogers and in the 80s it was Plant (which I disagree with).
My favourite Purple album. The playing here is off the charts. All members are on fire! David and Glenn’s vocals are such a unique blend. Oh, and that riff…….😍

I remember riding my bike to the mall to get this album the first day it came out! I saw them touring this album and it was insane, Ian Paice is a Drum God!!
Dave Splendorio what was your first impression of it? can hardly imagine this album sounding 'new'.
Dave Splendorio I saw this tour Tommy Bolin was Guitar player awesome. Back up band Nazereth Hair of the Dog 1975 PITTSBURGH
Efore teen years , I got this Album too. Fam were musicans
For me Ian Paice is the best Drummer in History.
Ian Paice is a fantastic drummer and I agree with You.One of the best drummers of all time. Deep Purple are such evenly matched musicians all round and the most musically gifted of the big 3 in that time frame Deep Purple - Led Zeppelin - Black Sabbath
@@andyandrew7557 Completely agree.
50 years old.... still a masterpiece of music / talent 👍👍👍👍👍😿💜
62 and always rocking out...when you graduate from high school in 1978 you can either still love the great music from that time or be a stuffy, crusty, get off my lawn type..if I live to be 90 (God willing), I would never change....Rock on .......
Deep Purple at its finest! Intense song with great vocals and instrumentals!
Mr. Coverdale is simply briliant. John Lord's solo is genius, every single note is perfectly planned and Ritchie..this man is my guitar idol.
+Мотикаря Петров Ковърдейл тука е много слаб. ;)
Ritchie isn't from Earth! It's a guitar monster!
Слаб си в главата,приярелю
Хюз прави цялата песен, приятелю. ;)
Glenn Hughes makes brilliant vocals job too.
Today the Burn album turns 50 years old. This is, without a doubt, Deep Purple's best album, and MK3 is by far the band's best lineup!
Debatable. But hey... as a purplehead, I recognize the different, yet top-notch, talent both Gillian and Coverdale contribute to shape the two slightly different sounds of the band.
Love Burn but DC is just no match for Gillan in his prime. Gillan created a genre where DC was always compared to someone else. In the 70s it was Paul Rogers and in the 80s it was Plant (which I disagree with).
I've been tending towards this, that Burn is probably the best Purple album overall. It has a bit of everything that makes them great.
Not even close
My favourite Purple album. The playing here is off the charts. All members are on fire! David and Glenn’s vocals are such a unique blend.
Oh, and that riff…….😍
It's a tough choice, but this just may be Purple's best song - the riffs and vocals are killer, and so is Ian's drumming and Jon's organ solo.
Hum...
Fireball and burn...both great singles.
No, anything from machine head is better than this
There's always one... You know.
Definitely NOT "Purple's" best song. Not by a long shot......
Rocking at 75 in 1923 Deep Purple rocks.
75 and still love this song. Rock on!!!!!

That organ solo is purely divine, i can't listen to it without turning up the volume to the max.

Deep Purple philosophy : Best of the best music , song like no other .all the players are incredible.
I give them 10 stars of 10. Bravo 👍
Deep Purple were nomiated for the Rock 'N' Roll Hall of fame, vote for them
3:55 - 4:51 one of the most beautiful moments in rock music.
Wow, way to steal dude
This is such a great song. Such a great riff - like Smoke On The Water on speed! Fantastic drumming by Ian Paice and a superb guitar solo/mid-section with Jon Lord.
I never get tired of this bad ass timeless classic tune David Coverdale and Glenn Hughes at their finest ultimate classic and of course the incomparable at his finest 🎤🥁🎸👍✌️
musik kesukaan ayahku waktu masih muda dulu .. sekarang beliau udah beranjak tua .. 70 tahun .. tapi masih inget aja Deep Purple .. salut deh sama band satu ini .. top .. bener bener legend ..
Deep Purple were nomiated for the Rock 'N' Roll Hall of fame, vote for them
+nosense58 they got it!!!
+Squiifish They inducted fucking KISS. Might as well induct the Spice Girls & Beiber right now too.
+2112sgb Fucking A. If you don't put Deep Purple and Grand Funk Railroad in the Hall Of Fame, then there IS no Hall of Fame. Hell, I heard they put the fucking Beastie Boys and Donna Summer in! What the fuck does that tell you about this so-called Hall of Fame? It's pure bullshit!!
+austin teutsch Don't forget Madonna
+nosense58 Madonna, too? Say it ain't so, Mr. Sense?
Deep purple is my favourite rock band forever and ever..

Let's just play this again and again. Forever.
I do!
BRENDA LEAKE any other songs, Wrong Man, Ted the Mechanic, Perfect Strangers?
I might go for Perfect Strangers, once a while; just to break the monotony.
oh I love 'em all! mary long, super trooper, sail away tomorrow, sweet child in time, hush, woman from Tokyo...
oh and highway star!!
yes, I think this is one of the best songs ever written in the history of music! Chilling! 🤩
It's one of those DP songs where you cant decide what's more badass..the guitar, the hammond, or the drumming
Pavan Kamat it actually has incredible solo opportunities for every instrument in band......Jon Lord on synth....Ian Paice on drums...Glen Hughes on bass ....David Coverdale or Ritchie Balckmore.......I lean toward Ian Paice
