The tubes don't hold more lip gloss they are just thicker plastic cuz I've had the same tubes, just so you know it's not taking more of ur product so ur not loosing out by using them n they r cute!
If you want the clear lip gloss base she was talking about, it was most likely from TKB trading you can get pouches of them, there are also different clear lip gloss bases on amazing if you want a lil cheaper ones, but make sure you put oils in them because some need oils to make it lip gloss
