    It doesn't matter how good JB is or how many players need to be replaced on the roster. They will find somebody else. They can't have a highly intelligent black man who is completely unwilling to run with the narratives of the stakeholders and corporations that direct and control every aspect of the business also known as the sports world.

    • @gabepizza
      @gabepizza 24 дня назад +2

      When the original roster for this team came out I was like "who is going to be a bench player" and I don't mean come off the bench as a 6th/7th man, I mean the 11th or 12th man who won't play any meaningful minutes against real teams. The Jerami Grants, JaVale Mcgees and Keldon Johnsons of the 2021 team. Not saying that White will be that guy who doesn't play, he may very well me an integral part of Kerr's rotation, BUT he might be that guy. And the important thing is that Kerr won't have to worry about drama if he White is the last guy on the bench who doesn't play. Brown, the finals MVP, cannot be that 12th guy on the team. Since 2004 we learned that these FIBA Teams can't just be All-Star teams with the best available players but must be real teams. Not only does that mean having players to play certain roles aka role players but also have players who can be essentially glorified cheer leaders, just like they have at the end of every NBA bench. This team already has enough superstars with giant egos who Kerr will have to placate.

    You forgot about JB playing with the BIG 3 league…NBA doesn’t want it’s players playing in that league. And then a few years ago, when Kyrie Irving was in trouble, about the anti- semitism situation, JB pretty much stuck up for him. And then, JB said, how he wanted to start a black Wall Street. Add all that up that + the Nike Situation, and that’s not a good look for JB.

Talk to me when I see Jason Tatum consistently pick up opposing players full court or ask to guard the opposing Team’s best players. Kyrie is great but he’d just be another guard scorer which they already have multiple. Brunson would be the same situation as Kyrie

      @@Swish2430 It's a little different - JB is a good defender, DWhite is an ALL-NBA caliber defender. He was the only guard in the top-10 in blocks.
      But your logic is also wrong - you can't just say "JB is better than White in some areas therefore the anti-nike conspiracy MUST be the reason JB was left out". Unless JB is 100% better than DW at every area team USA needs (which he clearly is not), you cannot presume anything about the decision to leave JB out.

And JB is 100% the better choice other countries are running bigger lineups filled with forwards and bigger guards, why would they pick a smaller Derrick white over a bigger stronger more athletic defender in Jaylen Brown. And if you’re gonna talk about playmaking they already had Hali to use if they wanted to. Multiple times in the exhibition games Derrick white got bullied down low and put in the basket by his own matchup because he’s too small that wouldn’t be the case with JB
