I just upgraded from an iPhone 8 Plus to a 13 pro about a month ago. It was way past what I could comfortably afford, but I’ve no regrets. Your video on every setting in filmic pro, coupled with the practical information in this video are perfect timing for me, and have shown things I never would have thought of. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
Great video. I love how you show your positioning for the shot and the resulting video in the insert screen. Makes it easy to understand and repeatable. Thanks for this.
You demonstrated very good technique even just handholding the phone. I wasn’t sure I was going to enjoy the content, but the assembled video was quite good. Given the time of year and area available to you, you did a fine job.
Fantastic content as usual. Could you please show how to do food reels for instagram or tiktok .Specially the hook shots with mobile hand held or using gimball with the lightning setup, format tips and tricks. I think it will be greatly appreciated. Thanks
Really good ideas here; I've been a subscriber of yours for quite some time now ~ you have provided many good teaching for me. I bought a GoPro a while ago which I've used a lot but now find myself returning to my iPhone with filmic pro and light chaser polar pro case / variable ND .... thanks for sharing
I love all your RUclips adventures. While I know many are gimbal related I was glad to see this one with no gimbal. I own a smooth5, om3,4,5, moza mx2,. But…I also own the Shiftcam pro grip and I would love to see I video with your take of this product…. Thanks.
As I've noticed before, you are a mister at this method of production. I've gotten really good ideas from you. I think I was noticing that the vari filter you are using might be taking some of the sparkle and reflections away from the water. This is of course because of the polarizing effect of that filter. It maybe would have been better to have a plain ND filter..but then it would not be variable. But I don't know how many stops you would need. You are a very good presenter and that's why I'm subscribed. I wish all my teachers could have taught like you do. Of course that would have been 60 years ago :-)
I think my comment will make you laugh. The reason you saw the flares there was because I mounted the filter the wrong way. I noticed much much later that it was not perfectly flat on the smartphone. I try to fix it gonna post but I guess you noticed 😂😂👍
As always, such a good tutorial offering practical advise to improve our smartphone videos. A quick question: You shared that you shot at 60 fps to allow for slowing down the motion in post. What was your frame rate that you changed to in post to accomplish slowing down and smoothing out your movement? Thanks for all you do!
Hey zdenka!! Hope the text finds you happy and healthy .. No wonder you are such an adorable cinematographer .. the entire content of yours is so friendly and easy to understand.. thanks for sharing them .. Along with the handheld moves I enjoyed the background score too .. Waiting impatiently for the next ep . Good wishes from miles away ..
Really well done tutorial, Zdenka! I like how you explained the equipment , settings, and shot set up and immediately showed the results. The final video was lovely, although I found some of the sharp transitions harsh...wouldn't a fade have been better?
Thank you very much…. I try to show different transitions not because I think be it works good for the video but show different editing options … otherwise all my videos would look the same …. Yes normally I would do slower transitions
Great video! interesting, tnx:) I find that my iphone 11 looks the best when I just lock the white balance and the rest is automatic. When the shutter speed is high, the stabilization is way better, I guess the algorithm catches the little movements when the shutter speed is fast. Have you noticed that the 13 pro looks much more natural than the "plastiky" looking 14 pro?
Hello Zdenka, Can I please move away from this amazing tutorial and ask about the jacket you are wearing … 🤭🤭🤭 Is there a male version of it and, if so, where can I buy one? And now back to the video, I wonder how it would look like with you in it ..? 🤔🤔🤔 Thank you again for your lovely work.
Hi enjoyed watching your videos that you have recreated. I love to travel, take photos & videos on sceneries using iPhone 13 pro max. Would like to create into a video that can add photos and name of places. Which app would you recommend? Thanks
Came here from your tutorial class. I am really enjoying all the info!!! Was this filmed in 239_1 ratio? It looks like it with the bars... it looks soooo cinematic for handheld and no anamorphic lens!!!!
During Editing: How do you arrange the order of a bunch of pan shoots ( left to right, right to left) and tilt shots ( up down or down up) to get the most pleasing effect?
Very informative as always, but one criticism if I may and which is intended to be constructive so no offence intended. I viewed your video on my iPhone 13 Pro Max and found myself continuously adjusting the volume level during the periods that you were talking as the ratio of music volume compared to speech volume was too far weighted in favour of the music. A few decibels lower with the music would have made for more comfortable listening. But of course this is only my opinion and others may view it differently.
And you are absolutely right. I was struggling with this video in adobe premiere pro because the audio levels showed that it was good and balanced as I did lower them…, Once I exported the video and unfortunately uploaded to RUclips it seems like the RUclips is adjusting some levels as it is not the same as I have it on a computer. I have to look into it further. I’m also considering starting to edit and Davinci resolve as I’m not happy with adobe premiere pro anymore that much… Thank you very much for your comment
Nice video. But unfortunately filmicpro is not great with my android s21. It jitters all over the place. This happens to all 3rd party apps that I tried. I dont know if this happens to all s21 or any other samsung devices too.

nice and smart doable ideas, however with mobiles getting smarter by the day, even apps like filmic pro have to raise their bar. Yes, pretty much. Standard lens is good.
