    Came for the pedal, stayed for the riffs! This thing is like a multi-dimensional Big Muff. So good!

    I love mine. I definitely think it's a pedal that flies under the radar, especially when you use it as an overdrive

    I watched a few demos of this pedal prior to here, this one sealed the deal for me..I'm buying one tomorrow ! Great review...and the tartan blanket background works so well ! Nice guitar playing too !

    this is the most unique dirt pedal i ever played. there are so many different tones possible - from light driven to full on monster fuzz. i have a ts in front - i really don´t look for dirt pedals anymore. buy or die.

      Fully agree, I happen to use ts(plumes which is a ts basically) after the carcosa, I have a pedalboard video on a channel. Also satisfied with result

    Cool review. It wouldn't hurt to mention your guitar and amp set up at the beginning of the video. Rock on!

    Dude, excellent demo and explanation. I have an old FZ1S with the gating thing. Sounds amazing on bass though, so I refuse to fix it. lol
    Gotta get ahold of one of these.

    I was looking for a proper demo like this to hear the note definition with various bias settings: this is by far the best I've found to show the articulation possible and that it doesn't just mush everything together like other fuzz' I've tried once they get a little sputtery, along with Ryan's vod detailing the versatility with other sounds available: I think I'm going to have to buy it; but I gotta change that blue led immediately and while I've got it apart... ;D

    • @uncledimitarsguitarpedals

      Whats wrong with blue led? Like eco issue?

      @@uncledimitarsguitarpedals firstly I don't like getting blinded by a tiny floodlight beaming into my face, and I don't think blue really fits the pedal's aesthetic; I think a yellow or orange or maybe red like a spooky raven's eye would look better

    • @uncledimitarsguitarpedals
      @uncledimitarsguitarpedals  4 месяца назад

      Yeah, yellow will be much better fitting pedal's colors

    Some people think turning the high filter clockwise increases high freq content... buts actually it's the opposite... as it's turned clockwise it filters more high end... just sayin..

    It sounds good into Orange amps (muffled/bassy) IME. Seems to get bassier w the master on full. I like to set the left-side (Before & After) dials in opposite directions - ex. 3pm over 9am. Its a fun gated fuzz but can be fickle w other pedals etc.

    Hey man, thanks for the video. Are you playing humbuckers? I can order this from abroad online and I'm kind of worried about the high end since my set up is kind of bright already. Can the Hi cut handle shrillness well? Does it have a more subtle effect or can it really cut that high end ?
    Thanks.

    • @uncledimitarsguitarpedals
      @uncledimitarsguitarpedals  9 месяцев назад +1

      I'm was using humbacker with 14.2 kOhm
      I guess the high cut will do the job
      Don't understand what is meant by subtle cut effect, I guess if you want to cut subtle it's like having value near noon so it doesn't cut much?

      Hey, thanks for the reply. just meant whether the hi cut has a drastic effect on the sound or does it only change the tone a little. @@uncledimitarsguitarpedals

    I bought one used. one thing worries me. When turning the After knob when not playing, you can hear a rustling sound in the speakers. Is this normal?

    • @uncledimitarsguitarpedals
      @uncledimitarsguitarpedals  6 месяцев назад

      It's not, maybe the potentiometer has oxidized, I can suggest replacing this potentiometer with a new one

    • @crammojophilter
      @crammojophilter 6 месяцев назад

      It's normal. The After control is a bias control that changes the voltage of the Q2 transistor in real time, this will always cause noise.

    I completely understand about only playing in shitholes. Half the places I play, I have to bring my own generator because they don't even have electricity, and mine is really old and shitty, lol.

    Hi, this is perfect demo. I’ve just bought Carcosa and wonder if it is normal that After set at 1 o’clock and more starts to, let’s say, oscillate or even fade out?
