***WARNING*** You will need to be careful that you don't forget to pick up your gooseneck support arm (stinger) when you hook back up. Because your stinger support cross-member is below the top of the truck frame rail, if you leave the stinger down it will catch the inside of the frame rails when you turn and bend the stinger and piston. Don't ask me how I know. I ended up plating over the top of my frame rails and used countersunk bolts so it left a nice flat and smooth surface. That way if I forget to pick up the stinger it will just slide off instead of catching the frame.
The location can be marked perfectly but the hole still has to be drilled in the center of the mark for the hole to be located correctly. Entertaining video!
DP When I used to run a Murray Trailer, I always dropped it on a pair of 8x8 blocks, when I parked it. This would make getting back under the neck a lot easer. Love the videos.
Blame the one who drilled the holes with out messuring center to center from each hole.👈😉👈 Mike on the fifth wheel should of drilled 2 holes on each side of the center hole for 1/8" wall steel pipe 3/4" or 1" ID (for the bolts) to be welded at both ends on the outside grinded flush for added support. It's a little more work but it's much stronger and Captian proof. 👈🤓👍Another tip have some steel blocks of diffirent thickness to put between the cross member and the push arm to lift the front of the trailer higher if the front of the trailer ever bottoms out. Like at driveway entrances that dip down from the main road.
Your going to like that trailer, we made 1" thick plates to put under the top pins to get more clearance turning off the road into fields or bush roads. We didn't use them a lot but were handy to have when you needed them. Keep smilin
Wow , I couldn't believe over 12 mpg light and cruising with the ole Mack . That is amazing . Good work , love the channel and glad to see so much accomplishments .
I’ve been teasing you guys for a couple of weeks but I really see Dirt Perfect 🤩 growing and everyone there works hard and has a good time But really a basketball 🏀 goal 🥅
I'm sure that you said something before and I just didn't hear or pay attention but a building for the equipment is grand. I can say that you must of passed that snack bar a few time, rolled that quarter in your pocket and said nope, goes for the equipment building. I can see you are going at a really fast pace and so air conditioning or other luxuries are just on hold. I am very happy for you Mike as its a long road to the top. Best of all, your young enough to enjoy. Chris is building and your building.... careful as the economy can flip.... be very careful .,.. I don't want you hurt by it. "A straw in a bottle is damn good"
Transfer punches are much more accurate for transferring hole marks and automatically puts your center punch. If you drill hole small and ream to size much easier than drill bit.
I think if make the ramps a hang on version. More clearance like the flip up style. Sense of humor will fix anything. You can always flip the cross member over to give more height with the trailer detach as well.
You men did a good job on this upgrade! You could use this lowboy in a tight spot because you can side load/unload the trackhoe . Good looking trailer. 👍
Don't worry Aaron, we got your back. Don't matter who marks a hole when the driller can't check the centers first before drilling, RIGHT DP. Another great fun video guys, stay safe OH AND AARON, WEAR EYE PROTECTION WHEN GRINDING. Even if it's just your sunglasses that are above the rim of your cap ON YOUR HEAD lol
Glad to see he got weekend leave from detention to help you an when he was trying to talk he's way out of the bad holes he marked reminded me of the cartoon chip monk that never stopped talking till he's buddy hit him
Great Video ,,a idea on the shop .. if I was going to build it .. drive threw bay for the big rig and trailer hooked up .. rain nights hard to see to back into a shop ..well easy to back into the shop hard to see the open door in the dark night rain ..
It’s always nice to have a detach. I use to load over a beaver tail and it was not enjoyable. I bought a 2000 kayln siebert triple axle lowbed. Non ground bearing. Was a lot of work getting it road worthy again. All new brakes. Pots. Lines drums. New 5th wheel plate. Rebuilt hydraulic cylinders. Now after a couple years I need new decking.
Hello Alan here, the use of a transfer punch would have made for better accuracy. That is the way I did it in my trade have a complete set. Sure makes for the job a lot easier. Yes and nothing like a mag drill.
Hello from the Netherlands . nice camera position on the roll-up door. thanks for the video DP and Aaron good job again guys . Sincerely Hollandduck from the Netherlands
Another great shop video. I like how MBTS grabbed his unopened beer to move it out of the way but, had to open it and take a drink before he actually set it down lol. Love watching you guys work in the shop. Great video Michael.
Hi Mike, my 98 Dodge 4x4 got 13 miles to the gallon with the 5.2 liter engine so that’s excellent gas mileage for your Mack. Mack’s are excellent trucks.
@@DirtPerfect I think he probably wanted to spell "rain caps"............... for your exhaust stacks, and might have been hinting at things you could keep inside the storage box.
You may have already thought of this, but that hole in the front floor of the trailer, put a heavy mesh screen in the bottom, great place for chains, 20 years pulling Talbert Low Boys, enjoyed the video also when you park hold the heel of you hand on the trailer brake when you pull the tractor brake, you will get used to it lol
Great job guys!! As always Just do us one favor please and add to the list to "paint the air hose reel"...any color and i mean any color than hot pink. Haha. That's all I can look at when I see this beautiful rig. It's like a hairy mole on someone's face. I can't stop staring at it. Haha but if you love it we can live with it.
Just wondering if you put a shelf in that tool box to hold the charger so it would not get wet and fix it to where you can hook the change to the Shelf
You guys do some impressive work. Some bushings in those thru holes would have made that adapter a lot stronger, stay bolted tight, and be salt proof. Would have been a lot more work though. Really enjoy your videos.
My first thought. More work but……….. easier way would be a 3/8ish filler along side the bolt holes fore to aft welded at both ends and maybe plug welded in a couple of places around the middle.
Hay you can use a leaf blower to dry the frame on your truck when I used to clean and paint my truck I used to use one and to worked great just an idea for you and it didn’t take long to do this
Well next time you'll leave your tailgate open on that trailer don't trailer and it won't be filling up with water lineup with water that way when you take off with it you won't follow it till it over hanging the new low boy looks good man looks like he got it just about right about right get you later like
Man behind the scene, hole were dead on , and HE KNOWS IT !! Bullsh*t only goes so far. New trailer , sometime you get what you bought ! Not bad at all.
Great video DP and I was glad to see you get to go down and spend some time with Chris and help him out on the pond but anyway I’m glad everything worked out on your truck and your new trailer and it does look good so you and the man behind the scene stay safe and keep the videos coming
Love the good-natured banter. I think I would enjoy working with you guys. 👍👍
Thanks
Great job welding Aaron
Admin did one heck of a welding job !
Aaron you did great on your hole marking!!!!
Aaron did a perfect Job
Great video Mr Dirt Perfect and Aaron
thanks!
Came for the projects. Stayed for the friendly bickering! Nice work guys. Awesome video
You should've used the Fith Wheel from Lt. Dan. It was a higher Fith Wheel. Exactly what you needed. God bless
Poor Aaron. Management is always on his case.😢
⬆️ nothing a little 🍺, or two won't cure 😉🤭🤫
More like in his ass I mean case

I just love all your crazy comments & laughter!!!
Picking on the Meatball Behind the Scenes lots of fun to watch and Arron gives it back as well.
Meatball. Not nice. Funny but not nice. 😂
Not Meatball…Cueball ! I’m bald too so it’s allowed.
Got to see DP working with Chris at Letsdig18 yesterday. We will see DP with Chris again in December when his videos catch up.
Thanks for sharing another fun packed video folks. Always a pleasure to see your shows and the humour really makes it pop! See you on the next vid
Thanks for watching

You guys are awesome! I am glad I found you guys. MBTS give you the right amount of hell to keep you on your toes. Can’t get enough of your videos.

thumbs up for the garage door cam!! YAY a new toy hauler
Thanks

Not s problem with this one
It all comes down to honesty and integrity. But it's all good fun!

Anti-crush sleeves? They're exactly what I was expecting to see being done.
here the vidja i been waiting a couple months for. Thanks Dp and Mbts.
Hope you enjoyed
Confused me at first then I remembered Dirt Perfect means months behind and sometimes out of order videos !
Mike I have to say that MAN BEHIND THE SCENES has some mad skills

when I pulled Removable Goose Neck trailers we use a 4 x 4 across the truck frame to hold up the goose neck to detach
That must suck putting that in place all the time you what to detach
Old is the next new. Good to see old equipment still on the road.
Thanks
Great engineering & follow through to adjust to your needs for the new to your trailer.
Thanks
I'm glad to see you remember to move the 5th wheel from behind the truck before backing out of the shop.😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Great job guys Thanks for sharing 👍 👏

Lol thanks Dave
Looking good. Glad you guys get along so well.
Thanks
Man behind the scenes always gets me in better mood.
The only lowboy I've been around was a "ground bearing" design. This thing is much more civilized!
Word is thats what those Egyptians folk built them upside down cones with! How times change!
Yup them or no fun

Side loading is terrible for your fifth wheel

I’d think about adding a set of fifth wheel ramps. They’re a lifesaver for dropped low or sunken trailer especially with a lifted fifth wheel.
Yup no need for my trailers

I would have placed some thick wall tube in to reinforce the bolt holes to prevent any possibility of the rectangular tube being crushed.
Not had any problems
New building!! Oh yes, I'm in on watching a building go up.
Nice trailer, should be very handy for your business!
Thanks
Saw this on Captains channel and have been pumped every since! 👍🏻

Aaron just remember that management is always right - even when they are wrong
I love working with friends. There's always a lot of "Man, what did you do now?!!"
Nice job, nice find!

Missed 2 steps. Transfer punch comes after paint marker, and just before 1/8" oversized holes ;)

Hey Mike you should get a military trailer for LT dan sowe you have one more option to pull equipment whit
19 litres a hundred is pretty bloody good for a truck when I can push up 17 or 18 with a 3t ford ranger pulling 2 ton here in Australia
Should’ve stopped by rpm revival up there in Tipton and had them freshen that thing up.
Hay you can use a leaf blower to dry the frame on your truck when I used to clean and paint my truck I used to use one and to worked great just an idea for you and it didn’t take long to do this
Looks like a nice trailer. Good video.
Thanks
You made it home from Banta's without service call you are way ahead. Little love better then lot of loving. Yes MBS right learn to tuck hoses away.
I Just use a 4x4 or 6x6 on frame to hold neck up when detached or mount air bags
I would put a wireless camera on the neck. It would help with the reconnecting and allow you to have the an eye on the load. Looks good!!
I find no need for that for it down now
MBTS, he's pulling your leg. Your hole markings were good.

come on dirt perfect who new that the pieces of flat iron should have gone indide the RHS cross member and man behind the scenes you have done well
That be a big addition
46:54 now is the tme to drive a dozer on the lowboy then hook it back up. You should test the whole system now while at home.
Stay tuned
