I purchased a $10 UV strip on Amazon that's USB powered. I cut it into strips and put it on the bottom of my Zuca compact cart. I can power it for an entire round with a USB battery bank that hangs out in one of the side pouches of my cart. Bonus is it makes it easy to find my cart and provides a nice ambient light throughout the round without blinding anybody. Whenever I want to charge a disc I just toss it on the ground and park the cart on top of it for about 5 seconds. This is the first year I've really gotten into glow. I played years back with tape and flashing leds on coin batteries. Things have come a long way since then. I started designing solar powered basket lights for our Innova Discatcher 28 chain baskets that mount inside the center pole. It's nice to see baskets start to light up automatically around 6pm. Still tweaking things for the baskets that are in the shade, trying different solar panels and chargers but I think before the end of this season we'll have all 24 baskets lit up.
Giving an Eclipse 2.0 a full blast with whatever you have is TOO much for the guys I play with. It's more like "recharge it every three holes or the disc will kill your night vision" or maybe hit the disc with a flashlight in spots to give yourself 3 or four dot of glow. Kudos to the Resovator folks for growing and glowing the game
I played in an Eclipse tournament back in November. the player pack came with a Hex, an Envy, a Crave, and a blacklight flashlight. The discs stayed glowing for a good 2-3 holes before you had to charge them up again.
I think latitude may have made some improvements in their glow plastic recently. I just got one of the new run of glow River from black friday sales. Haven't had it outside yet, but it seems to perform better from an indoor test
I was able to watch all disc flights. Great camera actions. I would still carry uv flashlight to help find the disc as you get closer to landing glow disc will react with the flash light. Another tip for older disc add glow stickers
How don't you know that Mint Disc is molded by MVP? Mint's glow is the eclipse 2.0 glow. Thought Space Athletics is also molded by MVP. So their glow is also eclipse 2.0.
They are made by MVP, but the glow isn't the same. It wouldn't surprise me if MVP doesn't let other brands use their proprietary glow plastics because it would devalue their glow line. I've seen several tests done on eclipse 2.0 vs TSA and every other brand and the mvp/axiom/streamline is always the best of the bunch, even though they also manufacture discs for other companies.
Or just get a cheap rechargeable torch... BUT ! ! ! ! ! ! You MUST get A UV light at 365nm NOT 395. You see (unintended pun)... us humans can see 'visible' light from around 380nm up... 365nm torches usually come with a visible light filter (the lens appears to be black) and when viewed from side on, will almost look like the torch is not turned on. 395nm torches emit a bright 'visible' crimson/purple light and will blind you and your fellow players 'night vision'. I got a "80W" (yeah Right!) torch for about the same price as 10x2.5 Lt Coke bottles...delivered... Although the torch light is near invisible, it reflects in visible wavelengths of most things (not just glow). DO NOT POINT THE TORCH AT YOUR EYES.. You may not see much... but my torch is still notably warm on the skin pointed at the side of my head from 1ft away.. try that with a standard torch. 365nm torches are also Brilliant (almost another pun) for finding even normal discs in the dark. I have a pink Pig that glows like a High Vis vest under the torchlight (although it has no glow properties when the light is turned off). You can also highlight some discs in flight (but if there is any other objects around (trees, walls etc) that reflect 365nm then the reflection may make it harder not easier to see the dull glow of a disc. Another tip... If looking for a glow disc in a tree... Close your eyes... shine the torch up into the tree... turn it off and open your eyes.. You can re-energise the glow plastic without killing your night vision... (And if you lost a non glow disc, some times coming back at night with a 365nm and keeping your eyes open may show up the disc as a LOT of non glow discs are fluorescent (reacts immediately and is only visible as long as the light source is on, where glow plastic is phosphorescent and stores the reaction to emit light often long after the source is turned off. Interesting note... the Lobster was strongly glowing in the Video when the comment made is "Pretty much not glowing anymore". sooooo.... Looks like that camera is also a great tool for finding discs. (I think a night vision cam (some range finders have that feature I think) and maybe even some phones now may help.)

I just got a Halo Red for my glow discs a few weeks ago. I like it! I had no idea this Resonator thing existed. This looks great
Glow rounds are a blast! Especially the MVP Space Race events!!

For thrifty golfers glow tape glows brighter and longer and if you put a strip on the top and bottom you should be able to find your disc.
Not just thrifty, lets me throw my normal discs too.
@ well said! 😃
And it will never come off and looks like shite.
@@Philly-Drewski Never tried with glow tape, but lighter fluid has worked on getting every other tape I ever needed off, off.👍
@@rudy9067 that would probably work. glow tape chewed up a stamp on favorite disc so now I’m just salty.

Thanks for the information!! I believe glow is almost more fun than day golf because it is nearly impossible to lose discs:).
Glad too see Innova’s proto glow is better than its previous glow discs.
My friend came up with and built a prototype 3 years ago that is basically that device.
I was able to watch all disc flights. Great camera actions. I would still carry uv flashlight to help find the disc as you get closer to landing glow disc will react with the flash light. Another tip for older disc add glow stickers
This is a really neat idea.
RPM disc from New Zealand have a solid bright long glow plastic ... Highly recommended ... Try the Kea
Love my glow Piwakawaka,
Great review!
That’s some insane glow
Glow rounds are underrated
The new Kastaplast and the new Discmania glows are really good also.
MVP glow seems to be the best glow.
make sure you guys are commenting!!! even if its just for a random algo comment lol.
Anyone have a issue with leaving a glow disc out in the sun and it burning out where it wont glow anymore?
The Camera actually picked up the flights pretty good. Eclipse 2.0 and Kastaplast are unbeatable for glow.
There's lots of variation in kastaplast Glow plastic. I have couple of kastaplast Glow disc and those aren't even close to MVP/axiom eclipse.
Mint glow is great, its made by mvp!
I like the innova glow better than mvps because it charges faster
Lonestar glow is pretty good.
Don't they sponsor dogs

Halo Remote UV Glow Charger for the win!
You should check out the Solar Flare by All Night Innovations.

Yuuuuuup thx
The helix is better than this thing.
