As much as I love some of the films that came out of the the DCEU, I wish I knew what it would have been like if we just got a man of steel trilogy, what batman begins did for batman was more or less what man of steel did for superman. It was like this sports car had just been built. It was origin. Bringing other characters in deprived this superman the opportunity to be fully realized.

There's a seven year age gap between them and their dad is American and their mother a Brit - they would go back and forth between London and Chicago. Jonah Nolan jokes that he got the 'American leg of the tour.' He also said he got a lot of hassle as a kid in American schools for his mixed accent, so he doubled down on his Chicago accent to fit in.

Both brothers were born in England and have dual UK/US citizenship, so technically they're both 'American', but Jonathan moved to the US before Chris did. Apparently his British accent was "unpopular" in school, so he consciously learned how to speak with an American accent to better fit in and it stuck.

@tronam he moved to the US when he was younger? It's not uncommon to adopt an accent where one lives in as a you ger person. There's no need to point out the why of it all. I imagine a British accent would be attractive. I don't know ow anything it being "unpopular," and I mean, you have British born American actors who have blended accents. His is markedly American.

I was really let down with TDKR when I saw it in theatre. Didn't revisit it for awhile. I've seen it multiole times since 2020 and I'm actually a fan of it now. There is something about the pacing of that film that doesn't match the first two, which is where I think the problem lies in the subconscious of the viewer. However, they've got so much ground to cover over so much time and many events. It's really a good movie, it's major fault is it comes after The Dark Knight.
