Indeed, Gravity Well is a pulling one. So it works as intended. It's the inferior version to collapsing stars (just like death rancor is to -> ancient death rancor).
I just found my new favorite way to fight any type of Gargoyle. The Incantation "Stone of Gurranq" makes the Valiant Gargoyles fight a lot more bearable. It hits hard and is fairly good at hitting their head. And it staggers them pretty consistently. Weirdly enough the Stone of Gurranq does not deal Blunt damage. It deals reduced damage to Crystalians and those Crystal Miners. Staggers them pretty quick though.
Maybe there poise is broken from the gravity part of starcaller cry? They seem to have the same sort of reaction to their poise being broken if i remember correctly

What follows might be a tl;dr about how to check the consistency of it: See below the bars for the end result. ---------- In between stages of getting to the bird in mohg's area, I found a way for some easy mid-leveling in preparation to fight the invader npc (offline alternative to invasions). After reaching Altus, travel to the windmill village of Dominula. Check the left side of the village, for a cliffside. Here, you will find the celebrant's skull, which gives 20 runes on hit. Do not upgrade the weapon, to get the most out of it. Slap gravitas (found in Limgrave) on that bad boy, and head towards the Rotview Balcony (in Caelid). From here, follow the main road inward, untill you find a group of shambling corpses walking about. Now give them the gravity finger as you spam the ash of war. If you purposefully hit them with your weapon, whilst using the gravitas, a huge bonus of runes will come out. Doing so, will grant you a nice 15k-ish runes per run. Do be mindful of grabby munchy hands, as you will get caught in non-consensual intimacy from some of them. --------- Result: At some point, they will get their stance broken (cover your ears for multi-auditorial deafness syndrome) While they are kneeling before their elden lord, follow up with another gravitas input. This will send them all flying outward like you being a pinata, and the monsters being your stuffings.
There is a cut item called Miranda's prayer talking about a maiden Miranda of the flower crucible who became the first of the Miranda flower breed (hence their name). And I think that's what the guardians turn into when they transition completely to the flower phase. Though, it's still possible that the guardians become avatars and the flowers on their back become Miranda sprouts.
Blasphemous Blade carried me through the rest of my playthrough after getting it. When I was farming the magma blade from the serpent dudes, i found this out pretty early.
5:20 - The same thing happens with skeletons when you use gravity magic on them. It will always knock them apart but in the opposite direction that it should.

Crossbow tip: to reload while ADS-ing (aim down sights) equip the crossbow on right hand then two hand it. Will not work with left hand. (Kicks you out of aim to reload) Useful for snipers or pulley headshots (maybe). Wish I knew that the first time I played...
Night Maiden's Mist can effortlessly kill invisible beetles, hell you could probably drop it on the path and leave. It also hits enemies through walls, just gotta be careful how close you stand to the mist.
Night maidens mist is so fucking good once you learn how to use it and get enemies to stand in it. One of my favorite spells. Just gotta be careful since it hits you too.
I won't claim credit for it but if you equip and de-equip the blessed dew talisman it will regen your health much, much faster. Only good for the initial game and not even for all of that but if you're out of flasks and don't want to wait around you can really cut back on the amount of time you have to just hang out.

Tip for the walking mausoleums: when they have a foot planted, use Litany of Proper Death incantation on the foot to instantly remove all of the skulls on it. Crazy!
I think you can further buff your holy pot dmg against Deathbirds by using the generic SHARED Order aow or the Golden Epitaph version They boost dmg against undead but are actually auras, not weapon buffs. They should buff all your sources of dmg
I've not found any videos regarding my discovery last night. when you wear the blackknife armor, the pillars that spew fire will not attack. I hope you try it and make a vid about it to share to others. thanks
@@GenerationHollow I was wearing the black knife armor set with the exception of the hoodie. i used the mimic helm. i went straight to the path where there's a pillar that spews fire before I can get to the flame monk that has the curved sword. the pillar was not attacking me. when I wore another armor, that pillar started to spew flame again. I tried the black knife armor when i returned and it did not attack me again. I'll try to make a video.
I like to use the Envoy's Long Horn to take out the Deathbirds. Slap on that Envoy's bubble helmet and go to town. Works great on dragons as well. Beat the cr@p out of Placidusax with it.
Testing the gravitas ashes on the little guys seems to indeed do that! Weird. But it also seems that if you hit them with it again while there getting up then sometimes they do pull twords you. So a push then pull. That's pretty fun.
I noticed the bats didn’t get fire damage when I was trying to throw black fireballs at them after getting caught by the iron virgin under raya lucaria. I figured, “we’ll they live in a volcano so that makes sense”. Such a neat small detail. 👌
7:20 You can also sit on your horse right next to the path it runs and just hold you heavy attack over its path. (you dont have to be running with the horse for the weapon to do damage) it will run right into your weapon and die as long as you're in the right spot. You can also use night maidens mist... covers a huge area for like 10 seconds of so and will one tap the bug when it runs into the cloud
A thing I just noticed recently, just a small thing, but if you snipe an ulcerated tree spirit in the head, it lets out a kind of scream sound, it doesn't do this for any where else on the bodyb& I've not heard it on any others, I was able to test thos quite easily on the one in lyndell as you can stay in the safe room & pick it off
I believe there's something interesting going on with the Alabaster Lord and the Sacred Relic Sword. I was wandering around after beating the Elden Beast last night clearing out areas I passed over using the Sacred Relic Sword which obviously does massive damage with its weapon skill: Wave of Gold. But when I tried to use it on the Alabaster Lord that's above the Lake of Rot, it did nothing. It would not produce the wave. I had to switch to physical attacks in the middle of the battle otherwise this minor mini boss would've taken me out easily. Idk if this is every Alabaster Lord or just the one in the lake of rot. I'm going to experiment with the one in the evergaol tomorrow to test.
@@JohnMargherita69420 Pretty sure. I'd be shocked if I didn't but I guess I did just Bloodhound Step and Flame Rot Cleanse my way through the Lake of Rot so that certainly is possible. Got sucked into the Demon's Souls remake so I haven't had a chance to double check.
Another way to deal with those invisible scarabs is to mount up on torrent use the heavy attack where you drag your weapon across the ground and just run at the lines they create. Contact is inevitable
The ulcerated tree spirits in my opinion are the result a large burial of tree guardians that where revived when godwyn died like how worm faces are products of his corruption the ulcerated tree spirits have no small enemy’s around them like the guardian and worm face and are often found in places with a lot of bodies which further supports my theory
Remember when you used to be able to chain cast spells and incantations one into the other? That was removed, but I believe you can actually still do it, with good timing, if you cast the first spell midair (like rock sling or catch flame) into the next one (dragonclaw, magma breath, etc.)
Gravity Well is 100% supposed to PULL enemies. It says it right in the description "Fires a projectile of condensed gravitational force. Those struck by it will be pulled toward the caster." Gravity in general is by definition an attraction or pull. Why would it be a push?
Don't know if this has been featured yet, but frenzied flame incantations don't do any damage to basilisks, but the flame of frenzy incant will stagger them.
The Starcaller Cry also pushes the bloody dogs away from the user instead of pulling them towards you. (In the lake of blood region found below the Mohgwyn Palace).
I just found out that the dungeater talent is shredding the armour of the cristallions without even damaging them previously - this makes them very easy if you struggle against them
If theories are welcomed then I would like to add one. I have beaten elden ring a few times and for some reason Morgotts dialogue rings around my head. Looking at the base lore it seems morgott has a part in everything. And my theory is that maybe he is (or was after defeating him) trying to protect the tarnished from the power of the elden beast/ring. I know this sounds dumb but if you think about it has kept the peace in a way. He defeated Radahn whom defeated malenia forcing him to retreat to gain strength, he sealed away the frenzied flame in the sewers, and pretty much used his military might to trap Rykard in a volcano. I'm sure if he lived he probably would've fought Hordi Loux as well to ensure his father didn't meet a similar fate to his mother. Not to mention he was willing to be the final king of leyndell to perhaps have be buried in the sands of time.
Morgott never beat Radahn and neither did Radahn beat Malenia. All we have is a painting of morgott on top of radahn but morgott would never leave the erdtree and isnt mentioned in game. Radahn and Malenia both fought to a stalement (Malenia collapsed but didnt die, Radahn lost his mind to scarlet rot). Morgott never got passed the impenetrable thorns that needed the fire giants flame and the rune of death to be destroyed so he never knew about. Plus the Narrator in the beginning says the shattering triggered the war and when the elden ring shattered Marika disappeared meaning Nobody knew elden beast took her. Also melina states marika sent the tarnished (including first lord godfrey horah loux) away to die and then for them to return later to brandish the elden ring. Sorry dude good theory tho, He did protect the erdtree order tho as you said from the frenzied flame god and the god devouring serpent rykard cult. Honestly most likely would've let Godfrey (horah loux) pass or fought him
Ok I'll share, the best way to farm the bird in Moghwyn Palace is the Ash of War Golden Land. You can also hit the Bird with Spectral Lance. Careful to not fall off the ledge if you use Spectral Lance.
Somehow I found myself playing game again found myself doing way better as a battlemage, than just being a sorcerer.. My strength is up and my magic is balanced, this seems to work.
If you start with the Lands Between Rune and use it in the Chapel, you won’t lose them like you would any other time when the Scion beats you. Falling though WILL cost them.
It's not just taker's flame, the Man-Serpent's are immune to ALL forms of pure fire damage. They will still take status procs though, so Mohg's spear won't kill them through fire damage but will bleed them to death.

If you two-hand your (strength scalling) weapon before mounting up, you will retain your strength bonus while mounted However, if you then switch weapons while mounted you'll lose this bonus

The pots are underrated. I use the various fire pots to remove frost on bosses and other super strong foes so I can reapply frost on them. I use this on a frost/bleed build using a Frost Scavenger Curved Sword and Bleed Scimitar.
I have beaten the boss of the Azuria Hero's Grave. I now need the Holy Ground Ash of war. When I go back to the Azuria Hero's Grave, however, the chariots are gone. If I can't destroy chariots, I cannot get the rewards from destroying chariots. I have ejected and reinserted my game disc, and still can't get a single chariot to manifest. It sounds like you can hear them but they're not physically there. Please help?

Seeing as holy is radically inconsistent, I bet the gravity is an oversite. I'm doing a holy playthrough, and it is so inconsistent. Holy Grease is worthless, yet holy pots are effective. It's infuriating at times. Heal kills the undead, yet holy arrows and grease don't work.

Oh using the Serpent Bow is an amazing way to kill outdoor mobs. Remember that everything has a leash. And will only follow you so far.

For invisible scarabs fires deadly sin can kill early game scarabs and if it doesn't kill them it removes the invisibility.

Takers flame also does nothing to great jar Alexander. Found that out the hard way my first time.
Man serpents are immune to all fire damage so the same is true for the One Eyed Shield cannon. Knocks them around but doesn’t hurt them. Lots of fun.

Another tip for the invisible scarabs, use the item gravity stone fan as they run towards you and you should catch.
For the invisible bugs, I just use frost stump or the bubble spray as they both cover an area.

Interesting secret I haven’t seen covered yet, the mimic tear does small damage while forming when you summon it and an enemy walks into that cloud

The pots are underrated. I use the various fire pots to remove frost on bosses and other super strong foes so I can reapply frost on them. I use this on a frost/bleed build using a Frost Scavenger Curved Sword and Bleed Scimitar.
As a faith build, Holy water pots 1 shot skellies, always keep a few on hand if I'm expecting the BONE ZONE

lobsters are also weak to lightning! at least the ones in Liurnia and the Shunning Grounds. I've managed to skip the ones in the Mountaintops.

I have beaten the boss of the Azuria Hero's Grave. I now need the Holy Ground Ash of war. When I go back to the Azuria Hero's Grave, however, the chariots are gone. If I can't destroy chariots, I cannot get the rewards from destroying chariots. I have ejected and reinserted my game disc, and still can't get a single chariot to manifest. It sounds like you can hear them but they're not physically there. Please help?
Watching vid and comment on blasphemous blade, if they are immune to it that is new, have ran that sword a lot for myself and helping friends thru manor, they took damage before!!! Glad to not in game it got changed!

I understand having high resistance but immunity no. I thought I was bugged so I went and used other fire and magma weapons but nothing at all
Seeing as holy is radically inconsistent, I bet the gravity is an oversite. I'm doing a holy playthrough, and it is so inconsistent. Holy Grease is worthless, yet holy pots are effective. It's infuriating at times. Heal kills the undead, yet holy arrows and grease don't work.
Im pretty sure the ash of war or the meteor katana is the best way to kill invisible scarabs
