Great tips about putting tape over the stones and not over-doing it with the spray! I use Krylon Crystal Clear and like to let it dry before turning my pieces over and spraying the other side. What I have noticed, though, is that the spray slightly dulls the finish on your jewelry, so if you have a super shiny piece, just spray it once and see if you like it. I know some people like to spray each side 4 times, which may be overkill. Thanks for sharing your tips and tricks :0)

I also used your masking tape method on the jewelry that has stones in them and the stones are fine the tape really protected them and they arent clouded, so thanks a billion for this insite that you have provided me because I have tons of costume jewelry and I never feel like I got my money's worth because it starts to fade, but thanks again for this method and this brilliant idea!

I know this is WAY after the fact (6+yrs) & repetitive, but this video is exceptional! You've got a voice like butter (butter makes everything better! 💜), your speech is not rushed, it's very clear & holds your attention for the entire video. That seems to be extremely rare now. I bet you're a great public speaker too😊. Like another person said, you actually put thought into your video, planning it out before starting, which allows you to maintain a calming but purposeful lesson. You should really think about teaching people how to make videos, prep work, what/ how you'll say things, etc. You are short & sweet & to the point with the info; you don't hem & haw over yourself & ramble on & on about Lord knows what. You've also done a great job of having NO distractions... for you & for the viewer. I could listen to you ALL DAY LONG! I don't really care what it's about either. VERY SOOTHING VOICE...I JUST LOVE IT! ❤🤍💙

Thank you! Looks like I found a mutual jewelry addict! Lol. I will give this a try for sure. My body is very acidic and tarnishes jewelry very FAST. acidic isn't all bad, cancer hates an acidic environment so maybe it's helping me in a small way. I'm also gonna try coating some jewelry pieces with resin and see how that does, if it works it will last even longer! I don't have much costume jewelry because of the acidity issue but I have a few pieces I just love so I hope 1 or both of these work! Again thank you!!! ❤ ❤ ❤

Hi, I have some questions I hope you can answer. Do you have to re-apply the polyurethane on the jewelry? If so, how often? If never needed except once would be better just let me know. Also, what kind of tape do you use? I don't want to use a tape that would damage the parts of the jewelry I don't want to coat. And what kind of paper do you recommend to use to spray the jewelry so that the jewelry won't stick to the paper? I know you mentioned a craft board but I don't have one and don't want to buy one. What do you recommend using that is not expensive and jewelry won't stick? Thanks a million and hope to hear back from you.

Hi Robin... once the pieces are sealed have you noticed that it affects your skin becoming discoloured (ie darker) where there is contact? I have been thinking about trying to seal my lovely costume pieces to try and stop this happening... any thoughts?

some polyurathane has wood stain in it if you have gold jewelery you wouldnt knowtice but it maybe comming off on your skin its actually toxic stuff I dont think you have to worry about it after it dries thoe there are clear gloss polyurathane with no stain in them. there is also more ecofrendly stuff you dont have to worry about its called varathane or urathane im not sure its water baised so you dont have to worry about it they are always together on the store shelves along side the polyurathane. so read the labels they should say water baised on it and have an eco friendly icon on the front also their is high gloss and normal gloss use your discression on which one you want but make sure no stain.
