SPOILER: Miles Morales is the actual villain. Without breaking the chain of consistency, Miles shouldn't be able to save the multiverse and his father. Like Miguel said, the canon events cannot be changed thus by wanting to save his father Miles is ultimately dooming the universe. Even if he does save his father, his father would eventually die as a result of breaking the canon events as a result of the universe collapsing.
Personally, I think that Miguel and the others are after Miles because Miles wants to save somebody close to him, perhaps his father or mother, which puts a larger, worlds-saving plan at risk. Hence the lines about saving one person and dooming other universes, or where Miles talks about finding a way to do both. Essentially, Miguel wants to sacrifice the few for the many and Miles can't.
His theory makes sense what if spot is miles and he did the same thing miles is trying to do and couldn’t save his parents so he tried to make a way he could threw portals and that failed which turned him into spot. And Miguel doesn’t want miles to know why there going after spot because the reason is to save both of there fathers but in doing so killed so many people for something that’s supposed to happen. I don’t think miles can actually save his dad
The reason why they chase Miles is due to the fact that his spider that bit him was from another universe and means that Miles was never supposed to be Spiderman. They chase him down for that reason.
@@aejosiah I think they chase him down because he wants to change his destiny and save his father. If spot is miles we can see how far he went to develop a way to save his father and that can destroy the multiverse and kill so many people. Miles wasn’t even supposed to be at the meeting that’s why Miguel is mad Gwen just asked him to come he wasn’t invited because the goal is to stop spot and spot is trying to save his dad and when miles hears that news he reacts how Miguel knew he would react. I don’t think miles is being forced to not save his dad I think that was going to happen regardless but Gwen messed up because she told him
I don’t think Miguel is sacrificing anything miles wasn’t supposed to be at the meeting because his story isn’t over Gwen told him to come with out a invitation and probably told him about his dad because she doesn’t want him to go threw what she did but Miguel knows that he can’t really save his dad he can try but all his tries will make everything worse and kill a lot of people he we spot being miles. I think it’s a stretch saying he had to go threw that to be spider man I don’t think that’s what Miguel’s thinking he’s telling him that he can’t change just because that’s destiny and if you do try to change it will make things worse.
I think he is trying to use the master weaver to save every Uncle Ben when you think about because of lines like “We wouldn’t be here without Uncle Ben” and “By saving one person you are dooming every universe”
I don't think he's trying to save all the Uncle Bens here - I think he's trying to save his Dad, and Miguel wants to stop him because if he saves his Dad, that ruins his plan to stop the Spot, who's inadvertently destroying the multiverse.
I think the Spot's powers are inadvertently causing chaos in the multiverse, which leads to various incursions - one of these incursions resulting in the death/disappearance of Miguel's daughter, and that's why he assembles a team to deal with the incursions whenever they pop up whilst formulating a wider plan to deal with the Spot. As for the Spot himself - I don't think he's any variant of Miles, but they definitely have a connection to Miles, thought I'm not exactly sure how. They're probably from the same universe, I'd not be surprised if the Spot was given his powers when the Collider from the previous film was destroyed, that seems like it'd make sense. It's possible the Spot is responsible for bringing the spider that gave Miles his powers into that universe, since we see it glitch at one point, signifying that Mile's universe wasn't the place of it's origin. I think the Spot in this film is just sorta a goofy guy at the start, trying to figure out how to use his powers, and as a result of this film's events, he becomes a threat to the entire multiverse. Anyway, as for why Miguel and Miles are fighting. Firstly, we see Miguel is reluctant to let Miles onto the Spider-Verse team - but I suspect that's because he feels Miles isn't experienced enough - his gruffness seems to just be how he is rather than any malice at that point. Then I guess he shows Miles a vision of the Multiverse, where he sees his Dad falling and the Spot. Maybe Miguel plans to kill the Spot, one that involves the death of Miles' Dad - this would make sense with the Uncle Ben stuff in the trailer. Though Miles already had an Uncle Ben with his Uncle Aaron, so the idea that his Dad dying would be his Uncle Ben moment is odd. But anyway, the conflict is probably the whole "Needs of the Many" VS "Save everyone" clash, with Miguel being of the former, and Miles being of the latter. I guess Gwen defects from Miguel because he plans to kill Miles in order to prevent him from preventing his plan, and she can't lose another friend, bringing the two closer together. I dunno, I can possibly see how things fit together, but it'll be interesting to see it pan out onscreen, and interesting to all the little story nuances we can't see here.

From this trailer, I think the story is pretty much gonna be this: Miles' dad will die, as a mix of uncle Ben and Gwen Stacy, and Miles is obviously gonna want to save his dad. Miguel will show up to tell that Miles can't do that because that would destroy the multiverse since that death has to happen. The end of the movie will be Miles realizing and having to accept that he's wrong, just like how Kingpin was wrong in the first movie, but unlike Kingpin, Miles can choose to sacrifice what he wants to do what's right. This is what I could picture for the second story to work perfectly with the first one, BUT there's the fact that this is Part 1 of the story, so my guess is that Miles won't do what's right and that's what will lead to Part 2. I bet Miles will save his dad and that will bring the Inheritors in Part 2, where they'll kill a bunch of Spider-Men and basically Miles will be forced to do what's right since it's all been his fault. It would be so awesome if Miles had to see the people that supported him all this time dying in front of him to show how important his sacrifice is. If the trilogy ends up with Miles completely alone, without his parents or any Spider-People by his side... that would be perfect.

I think Across The Spider-verse 2 will introduce Madame Web, along with having Tom Holland, Andrew Garfield, and Tobey Maguire’s Spider-Man appear as well. I think those three will help Miles, with all of them on the run from Miguel and the other Spider-People.
Yeah, but maybe they’ll explain how that occurs through future movies, sort of similar how they did in Black Widow and Captain Marvel after Infinity War and Endgame. I don’t know. I could be wrong.
I doubt it. Miguel seems to be the leader here, not Madame Web, and whilst I guarantee the three live action Spider-People all making cameos at somepoint in these films, I don't think they'll be a major part of the story. I think Garfield and Maguire will be some funny little cameo, and Holland will appear in a scene set in the live-action MCU (all the universes have different art styles, so having the MCU be Live-Action makes sense). The only SSU character I think will show up in these films is Mrs Chen from Venom 1 & 2 - only because that's been rumoured and, finding that hilarious, I want it to be true.
I think it speaks more to THE ALGORITHM and gut feeling. The other Spidermen go based off what a computer says and it's gospel...Miles looks at it from a human perspective (spider sense) where there are other ways to save everyone. So now you have a computer in god mode dictating who should live and die having alternate spidermen carry out the plans. Deep movie if you apply it to real world. Tech is the new God ppl follow blindly without questioning something created by man.

Supposedly. It makes no sense for the Spidermen to show up since they are new to the Multiverse. Makes absolutely no sense
Yeah, but maybe they’ll explain how that occurs through future movies, sort of similar how they did in Black Widow and Captain Marvel after Infinity War and Endgame. I don’t know. I could be wrong.
Maybe a post credit scene with Madame Web because there are already so many characters in the film
How does that make sense?
Just see the end of the video!

He Is Not Why Would He?!
Why tf would The Spot be a variant of Miles, c'mon dude don't start with these random dumb theories. The Spot is his own character and that scene where hes alone without any spots is just a origin scene. Be smarter than that
It was just a cool theory that ties in nicely to the story set out in front of us! Just a bit of fun
