    A 7 pound pet . 222 mg each scoop of Fendbendazole. So 50 mg / per kilo once a day for 3 days . So I figured around 2 mills.
    Average cat is around 10 pounds. They would get 200-250 mg milligrams,so approximately 2 mills ? Once daily for 3 days .
    I got confused because it doesn’t come in a liquid. It’s 99% pure dry Fendbendazole. So I figured a 1/4 of a tsp.
    The mills look like a lot in the oral syringe. ( With this being a pet ,I thought 1.5 mls.
    ( So the dry powder is 222 mgs of Fendbendazole) Animals around 7 pounds. )

    • @RNKid
      @RNKid  6 лет назад +5

      So for a question like that, the ratio between the two medication within the one pill will always be EXACTLY the same. If you just ignore one half of the medication and do the same calculation for just one side, you should be fine.

      In combination medications, the dose is usually based off of one ingredient. In the case of augmentin, it is based on the amoxicillin portion. So you should only have to check one ingredient not two. There are times like in KPhos solutions where a safety check on both ingredients should be done but for the most part like Bactrim and zosyn, you would only need to base it on one ingredient.
