I was hoping to find installation info on the SnapPower website but no, so am glad to find this vid. Meantime The Milz comments have me rethinking any purchase. Thank you!
I'm an electrician and I've seen stuff catch on fire because the wires were loose under a wire nut. I've also fixed receptacles that were hot to the touch because the contacts were loose behind it because they were arcing. Imagine if one of those contact springs come loose and constantly arc and cause a fire. A home owner would have no idea that it's happening until its to late.
Make sure you check to see if electrical tape is wrapped around the outlet. If so, remove the outlet and unwrap tape. Careful with wires reinstalling so you don’t create a short circuit.
On Mad for the 2002 Blazer can you use W/40 if you don't have the two you mentioned? I new a answer Asap! Please! Don't want to miss up I've spent a lot on this with little luck.
@@impetiousdoom I have the same problem... I'm in a rental though... i really dont want to replace all the damn outlets lol then change them when I move. Was it difficult to do?
Baker AG wasn’t difficult. Just make sure you have the power off. I have encountered one outlet with 3 blk n 3 wht so not sure what to do on this one since there are only 2 screws on my new outlet. Took about 10mins to do. 👍🏼
@@impetiousdoom you can do it with the power on if needed. Just need to be careful. Done it to know. Worked with an electrician also who had jobs the breaker couldnt be turned off.
I don’t think you can install these either way not like an incandescent. Power can only flow in one direction with leds if you flip it over the hot and neutral are reversed and it won’t work.
The LEDs run on 3 volts DC. The cover plate apparently contains a small switching power supply, including a rectifier, that converts the 120 volts AC from the outlet to 3 volts DC for the LEDs. So the direction does not matter on the AC connections.

Good enough for me to stay away from them. Thanks.
I'm the greatest electrician of all time, 187yrs of experience, you're wrong.
Thank you! You gave a good overview of the product and helped me make a decision. You don’t get much information from just looking at the package!
😂 Love the dog at the end!
Do they make them for square outlets too? Like for gfci? Or with sideways leds for outlets installed sideways?
Thank You…you saved the day!!!
Did u have any issues with flickering?
I see a lot of ppl mention that

How does this compare to the Night Angel product which looks identical?

What if you don’t have the screws on the side of your outlet? Have to replace the outlet.
Thanks.. I had to change out the outlet on mine. Never seen a plug with no screws b4. Murphys law.

Baker AG the outlets are cheap so if you change them just leave them behind. No one will ever notice.

ours isnt working
I believe your outlet needs to have side posts to make contact, some older outlets have rear posts
Or possibly she's installing it in a half hot outlet
