When you ask the city to pick up abandoned furniture / abandoned mattresses, they file it under 'encampment' and do not remove it because it 'might be furniture for the homeless'. I just wish all this mess was right outside London Breed's home so that when she steps out of her home and needs to dance around needles, and be worried for her own life when she steps out of her home, she can realize the society of complete lawlessness that she has enabled.

I need to wait in line to Ross because they won't let you walk in directly like usual, and I can't even get into the jewelry stores because they have an "appointment only" policy. However, drugs are openly trade in front of the train stations and Walgreens; no need to wait.
That sucks, but believe it or not, I once lived in an area of Chicago which was so dangerous that the RADIOSHACK store in the neighborhood required customers to be "buzzed in" to enter the store! And this was way back in the 80's!
They. interviewed the. mayor of Oakland I think a week ago. They NEVER EVER asked about what she is doing about the continuing crime affecting small business owners. It was about affordable housing. I visited San Francisco last August. Not knowing the city, the parking garage I used was in the Tenderloin. Lots of tents on the sidewalks but no real safety issues for me. Proceeded to take the double deck red bus and toured the entire city. From what I observed the rest of the city is beautiful and normal. Would not hesitate to return.

I used to walk a half mile from BART to my work through the San Francisco streets. in that half mile, I would walk past people doing drugs IN THE BART STATION, and then past 50 mentally ill / drug addicts high on something or in various states of anger for not getting drugs their drug fix at that moment. The final straw for me was when I was standing at a street corner waiting for the "walk" light and a homeless person dropped their pants and pooped right there on the corner of the street RIGHT NEXT TO AN OUTDOOR TOILET SET UP FOR HOMELESS PEOPLE TO USE. Seeing that shit just made me want to throw up and I think it was the moment I gave up on the city and its stupid progressive politicians.
I've still go leaving California (east bay here) on my ToDo list. Just waiting for the youngest to leave high school and then we are out of here, to a "normal" state.

Start enforcing the laws remove the drugs and thugs. Arrest and then punish repeat double punish triple...then send overseas.
I came to SF in 1980 when the city was rocking. It was safe to go ANYWHERE and people were polite. Now it's a ghetto, a dumping ground for felons and homeless, thieves and beggars. What a dump. Glad I just sold my house and moved to the coast.

London Breed, stop the mandates so you can get back some of the cops otherwise would be fired. You could get at least 30 to 50 experience cops back to work if you really cared. Newson stopped the mandates in March and Doctors and nurses stopped in April but San Francisco still has it in place.
What good is it to arrest a criminal when you are going to release them in a day or two.

I visited San Francisco last August. Not knowing the city, the parking garage I used was in the Tenderloin. Lots of tents on the sidewalks but no real safety issues for me. Proceeded to take the double deck red bus and toured the entire city. From what I observed the rest of the city is beautiful and normal. Would not hesitate to return.
Really? I used to walk a half mile from BART to my work through the San Francisco streets. in that half mile, I would walk past people doing drugs IN THE BART STATION, and then past 50 mentally ill / drug addicts high on something or in various states of anger for not getting drugs their drug fix at that moment.
The final straw for me was when I was standing at a street corner waiting for the "walk" light and a homeless person dropped their pants and pooped right there on the corner of the street RIGHT NEXT TO AN OUTDOOR TOILET SET UP FOR HOMELESS PEOPLE TO USE.
Seeing that shit just made me want to throw up and I think it was the moment I gave up on the city and its stupid progressive politicians.
