Spurs secured Champions League qualification for the 2010/11 season after defeating Manchester City 1-0. The Tottenham players decided to celebrate this achievement by throwing water over Harry Redknapp.

Redknapp in his book "Always Managing" said that he was really annoyed with the players for doing this to him. He picked out Bentley in particular "...when Bentley invaded the screen with a crowd of jeering players and dumped a full, large container of water all over me. On camera, I had to laugh it off, but privately I was furious. I thought it was disrespectful, frankly, and totally out of keeping with our relationship.
(Bentley) took a liberty. It didn’t just make me look bad, it made the club look bad too - it undermined us when we had just taken a giant step to join the elite. The only good news was that we auctioned the ruined suit for a leukaemia charity on radio and fetched £2,000."

Good point. The players acted like they reached their final goal, when in Harry's eyes this should have been just the beginning. Are Man City, Liverpool...etc. satisfied with just qualifying for the Champions League? No. That should be the minimum for a top club.
Interesting. But that does seem like an overreaction. Qualifying the champions league was a huge achievement for Tottenham. They had every right to be euphoric at that moment.

You're wrong. Think you are referring to what happened 2 years after this event, when Chelsea won the champions League and qualified instead of spurs who finished 4th. The year this was filmed, spurs did get into the champions League. This was 2010, and spurs played in the 2010/11 champions League, when bale scored a hattrick at the San siro, and roasted maicon at white Hart lane...etc.
