Yes, it really does make me appreciate my food so much more. If we didn't have processes like this then there we wouldn't get to enjoy a lot of things!! This goes for the vegetable that I pair with my salmon dinner as well as the rice and beverages. I thought it was interesting how they harvested roe and sperm without killing the fish. In a way, this preserves their lives much more since the chance of each egg surviving is greatly increase by human intervention. This way, they only need a few mature male and a few mature female to produce a thousand or even a million more fish! To me that seems more sustainable that catching a million fish. As an individual who was raised vegetarian for health reason and who made the conscious decision to eat meat, I agree that it's important to make informed decisions, and that you can continue to practice something with respect to the lives sacrificed. Such is life, and life is beautiful.
If people feel bad about this i guess it may make them feel better to know that this fish (and many other sea animals) die after spawning When the males generate a hook they are about to spawn (females aswell but no hooks) and their flesh start dying before they have laid their eggs / milk once they are done they die and get eaten by other animals. This process saves the meat for humans and make sure that all the eggs hatch instead of being eaten by other animals.

Actually. This is a mercy. Especially since they will face extinction do to being overfished if we don't make an effort to aid their species. This ensures that every fish has a mate, and that nearly every single egg hatches. They die after breeding in nature anyways. This is truly the best thing for them.
WTF do I feel sad and hungry at the same time?
Какой отлаженный процесс!!! 👍
THIS HELPS THE ECO SYSTEM IN A HUGE WAY !
Yes pleasant music over him spooning out the children of the fish into a container that will be served to us for eating. Totally not a bit wrong if you think that was your children
Its fish bro. That's why it's ok.
Yeah all animals should stop eating other animals until they all die. And why stop at animals plants are alive to should stop them eating too🙄
let the fish live bro
Wow this is brutal!
they’re helping a species populate more yes the fish was killed but that’s the food cycle the least they can do is help more be born

good evening senior greetings from Indonesia, the aru islands, Maluku province
Do they have to kill the fish when they push the eggs out or they can use the fish again
They can reuse it for next season so when they make more eggs
salmon will die after giving birth, it's nature
Salmon die after laying eggs thats why
Salmon only breed once. There is no reusing that fish. Ever. That's just the way salmon are. They die right after breeding. Naturally. No human aid needed. They will die either way.
This process is horrible... I am so sorry about all of this.
The killing is always brutal😔.
Horrible never in my life am going to eat fish 😭

Always remember that the god is watching your cruelty over the innocent living beings. Being vagan and promote humanity.💓🌍💓
When they finish take the eggs the things out of the fish do the fish still live or the fish just died 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭
They die in nature after spawning and most of their eggs get eaten and don't hatch. This is way more efficient and helpful because the babies are raised then released.

Good video
Poor salmon 😞

My question is how so you keep mould from building on the eggs, so better chance for baby fish to grow

Piano music to make you forget that buddy just put that fish through some sort of a gauntlet.... Now I'm hungry...
This looks so cruel

This ensures that every fish has a mate, and that nearly every single egg hatches. They die after breeding in nature anyways. Salmon only breed at the end of their lifespan.
