I did buy 3 hobby boxes of the 2018 cards when they were around 110 bucks, and got the Bishop Sketch card. It's one of one so I'm the only one with Bishop. I see a few on eBay, and someone has already found the Deadpool and someone found the Wolverine card. They were selling them around 600 bucks.
I collected cards heavily in the 90s the 94 95 series being my favorite memories. They ran 1.75 to 2.50 a pack. The flair were 4 per pack. The price is not that bad counting inflation. Can’t wait to crack me some of these this holiday.
Joe Friday I’ll be honest I bought a bunch of boxes (8 or so) and scored numerous hit cards, I sold the most expensive and collected a nice set, variant set, rainbow set, and finished the precious metal gem set bronze(/199) red(/99) and blue(/49). I bought many purple(/10) and green(/25) gem cards at around $30-50$ a piece and recently sold 5 of those cards for $1200. You just have to learn the market and strike when the price is right. Overall I made money from collecting the 2018 set and I am more than happy with my choice to pursue them.

Is there a hub that exists where they talk about news, releases, etc about comic, marvel, DC (nonsports) cards? Like a Goodreads that they have for books or imdb for movies/shows but one for cards?

Apologies for not responding sooner on your comment for Iron Man Variant from Gentle Giant. He's pretty cool. Around 18 and a half inches in height and the illuminating effect is a nice touch.

Looks cool what you got but seem weird seeing cards that thick. I still have some of my decks especially the Jim Lee ones. Think I might start relooking at them as I’m getting hit with nostalgia after your video haha. Definitely different video but still enjoyable.

All it is is they add those silver foil X on them and it's a companion set to the regular set. The Deadpool post card cards are one subset. The acetate with the raised X on it is another sub set and the that artist card is another subset
Yeah thats what I read on the checklist after I did the video. There are several subsets. I'm not sure I like that. I wish it was just one main set and a few special cards. I don’t even see a complete base card set. Unless I strike it rich in the future, I’m priced out. They look nice, but damn.
Yeah they are single issued cards. I also noticed some of the 'normal' character cards are not as thick as the others. Could be worth more, looks more hand drawn and less neat in terms of artwork (I got Tyler, Cable's adopted son) I hope they're worth something. I was hoping to make some serious trades with the doubles I got
I believe they made it so thick to use that space to insert things like some piece of memorabilia or those stackable clear cards. From a business standpoint it might make sense to them, to offer more variation, but its too expensive.

I used to collect X-Men, Spiderman, and Marvel Universe cards, but they were getting quite expensive. So, I stopped. Just thought you should know a bit more about the cards in this series. 1) the clear cards you showed are NOT the only clear cards in this set. 2) clear plastic cards (stackers) are a set of 3 cards to be stacked 1 behind the others to create a single image. Sort of like a puzzle. 3) on the back of the Deadpool Around The World cards, if you tilt them just right, in the light, you'll see a secret message embossed into the card. Man, $140.00! That's a lot. Now you see why I had to stop collecting them. Did you at least negotiate price with the seller? Thanx for listening and have a good one.
Art on the cards is cool sorta. I hate how thick the cards are. Also overpriced. If they were the old school thickness and more cards I might be interested.

I like the art work but I agree about the thickness. I'd much rather have the older thinner style cards. I don't understand what's up with the trend of making these thick cards. The thicker ones tend to be a lot more expensive too plus you get less per pack. I'd rather go back to collecting old cards from the 90's.

Look on Ebay for examples of the other sketch cards. Some are amazing, some are average and some look downright terrible. I would put the sketch you pulled in the amazing category. If you want to recoup your money that card alone will pay for your box and then some.
Fleer Ultra is impossible to get these days. I'm trying to get the spider-man 2017 cards. But Fleer Ultra made it impossible. There is a thing called manufactured webbing which is a side set for spider-man Fleer Ultra 2017, there are 6 carnage types and apparently there are only 10 of each of those cards. So basically Fleer Ultra's stuff is overpriced and impossible to complete. Fleer Ultra should stop existing at this point because they are basically catering towards rich people meaning us poorer collectors don't get a chance. To hell with Fleer Ultra The 90's cards were better anyway.
There are actually more base cards in the 90's set than this set. Just try collecting sports cards, it's insane the amount of cards in each set now-a-days.

what size top loader and sleeves would i use to put each card in? i have them in sleeves right now. But i think they need better storage than that.
