It looks like what a blacksmith would've forged had he lived at a time before the Industrial Revolution and before electricity was commonly used, and he desperately needed some light for his home at night or in his basement or cellar or, of course, in his workshop. I've seen blacksmith style stores and restaurants with these kinds of decorative candle holders not like the one you made for this video but made of cast iron.

At the Hardy tool cutting your hammer control experience shows, At my cut off tool I am much safer to use my "mild steel Soft Hammer and I don't have to resharpen my cutoff tools or grind the face of my hammer.
Now I finally have bending wrenches and Hardy bending tools for these projects
Thanks for your advice on most of my homemade tools making Blacksmith work possible.

    John,
Nice video! Now I'm starting to think of candleholders for my house! ;)
Will you talk a bit about the hammer you use at the beginning of the video -- why it (looks like it) weighs so much and why you are choking up on the handle as much as you do? I read _somewhere_ (I forget where now), that I took as "authoritative," that if you're going to choke up on a handle, you need a smaller hammer. Of course, most Smiths probably don't have dozens/hundreds of hammers at their beck & call, so I definitely _think_ I understand why you're doing what you're doing. I'd just like your opinion about this if you would.
Also, at about 26 minutes, you used a 2-pin "hook fixture" in your vise to bend the candle "clip." The hook fixture looked like two separate pieces that could be "adjusted" in the vise to work with whatever thickness of material you are working with. Is that correct?
Thank you for this video and take care!
