Wow I can't believe it's nearly been 10 years since Frozen
that makes it a great year to be the year the frozen land in hong kong disneyland is opening. i know the land will have frozen ever after, but the animatronics will have physical faces that look like those seen in enchanted tale of beauty and the beast
I love this attraction is so much fun the animatronics are so well made 🦇
Love the 'Warnings - Maelstrom Sighting' nod to the classic attraction it replaced.
🛷"Yoo Hoo, Big Lightning Lane Line Blow Out" ❄Frozen - how apropos for me lol...with DLP & HKDL having Frozen themed lands opening soon, I can't help but wonder if the interest of the young will keep interest up abroad. 🎿Not growing up being a "princess loving" person doesn't stop me from enjoying the immersion so curiosity should keep the tourists coming. I'm hoping Pixar is working on another type of "Cars" type movie that be translated easily to a land acceptable for managers in Fl. Always the outliers lol. Thx 4 ☃ 💜
I honestly don’t know how popular Frozen is overseas, but I’m assuming it’s popular enough lol. The animatronics that HKDL is getting for their Frozen ride are amazing, and I really hope Disney will consider updating ours here. I’d love a new Cars movie and land here, but just don’t know where it would fit! I can’t take anymore demolition at Hollywood studios😭 lol. Thank you so much as always Liz 😃

Cute attraction and I like the details that were put into the queue. Wonder if they will update the animatronics with those being used in the HKDL version. That'll be awesome. Fantastic vid as usual 4K.
One can hope that they’ll eventually update the animatronics here! I enjoy this ride but no where near as much as Maelstrom. But if he get the same animatronics as HKDL, then that would be a huge improvement for me. Thank you as always Andrew! 😃
I hope they replace this version’s projection face with the physical one on the HKDL version. It looks so much nicer.

Fun attraction! Disadvantage of the Lightening Lane is not much chance to see Oaken in the sauna 🙃This is the attraction I introduced my best bud to the story telling attractions. He didn’t think he’d like anything based on “a kid’s movie” and ths one won him over. The animatronics in this attraction bring the characters to life so well…(I know many don’t like the mapped projection faces)…oh I get the “chills” at the pivot and release at the top in front of Elsa…it isn’t her cold…just the feels! Then before the finale…Snowgies!!! (Oh!…and Marshmallow! “I’m Free!”)..ok…I should have warned “spoilers” for anyone who hasn’t experienced this one before!
That’s true, I literally never go through the Stand by line for this ride so I never get to see Oaken unfortunately. Overall though I really do enjoy this ride every time I go on, and I honestly hope Disney will update our animatronics here to the ones Hong Kong Disneyland is getting for theirs! I personally think it’s worth the investment.
by far one of my most favorite rides in all of epcot

This ride holds an awkward spot for me. I really enjoy it but it came out late enough in my life I dont have the nostalgic draw but early enough that the newness has worn off for me. I really like riding it but just cant summon a reason to wait in that line. Especially since I dont get to WDW often.
This is a cute attraction but I really loved maelstrom. It was scary and fun and dark and now frozen is light and happy. They’re just polar opposite rides.

Yes it was busy! Frozen was down at first when I got there, but thankfully it reopened within an hour!
So I do enjoy Frozen Ever after. It’s a great ride and Disney should focus on relevant IP with its attractions. I also still think a additional gate should be opened for retro rides. The Maelstrom was also a great ride and should live on. Just my two cents.
This is way off topic but is there any way you could do a video of how to get from the Poly to MK via pathway? I know things are different with construction but I’d love to see how it impacts the walk to MK. Thank you for all you do to keep us in the loop. ❤️
The walkway connecting the Grand Floridian and MK is closed for the next few months unfortunately due to construction at the resort. But I did film the new, altered path over at the Poly that connects to GF. Here is the link to that one ruclips.net/video/y3jUlE65xcg/видео.html . I’ve never been on this attraction and I can’t wait until I get the opportunity. Is it better than Maelstrom was, because I loved that ride.
It’s a really fun ride but I personally liked Maelstrom way more. I’m sure the general public likes Frozen more though lol, which is why Disney made the change
i like that the animatronics have a movement they do when a boat is not in their scenes, like in the first scene olaf turns to face sven after saying "see you there!" and in the ice palace scene elsa has a unique movement after the song finishes that guests only get to see if there is a problem with the turntable that moves the boat to the other flume; in it she makes a slightly embarrased face and sometimes waves at the stuck boat
Almost every theme park animatronic has an “idle mode” for when their scripted performance is over. They usually just move around a little bit to keep the illusion of being alive so that if you look backwards you wont just see a lifeless static figure. I have noticed a few rides with animatronics that do just freeze, but this is usually not the case
