The thought of Apex dying off like TTF actually makes me sad. I LOVE this game but EA/Respawn is not returning the love. I've been looking for another game to replace Apex but it just doesn't exist. There's not a game out there that feels as good as apex when it comes to gameplay mechanics. I've been trying out "The First Descendants" the past few days and it's actually pretty good. It's just missing the pvp aspect
The dual devotion at the end is just criminal.....
almost all games are having the same issues as Apex, so I always end up just playing Apex. Games like Elden ring are insanely boring to me. I mean what do I do, go play Call of Duty for the 17th time? Madden? Lol. Game developers are terrible now a days.
honestly i’ve just been playing titanfall 2 whenever i feel like playing apex and it’s been scratching that itch. apex just isnt fun anymore.

@@demicality I just learned about finals today through a kandy & boomrazzle video. It looked pretty good but the closest game they played to Apex looked like Xdefiant imo. Never played either of them but they both looked good. Xdefiant looks like it could definitely scratch the Apex itch!

Yesterday I was playing solo q in diamond and was giving hard carry to my teammates and i had 4 kills 1 assist and one only had 1 kill and the other had no kills or assists and the rest was participation points. They were talking so much crap to me when I was giving them free kp and then got mad at me for not helping them when they got pushed bc all they had was snipers.
Solo ranked is Most unfun Thing on earth having random teammates on the Roller Open Mic telling Storys about their npc life while fighting 3stack sweaty Monkeys on aderall with Strike Packs and yea im Sure almost every Lobby someone is cheating

Apex solo experience is horrendous, me queues up for trios against 20k kills 20 bomb badge people while getting a level 30 on my team who doesn't know how to use their tactical ability

Video games didn’t die this easily until streamers made gaming their careers. Those 4k 20 bonb sweats are playing for RUclips content. No point in playing a game for fun that other people play for a living. Streaming ruined gaming
I think so too. It is impudent to get money with playing video games.
Not only that, but even some people who are not streaming think they are the shit after binging 20 hours of Aceu. Always trying to impress someone(even when there is noone to impress) with the skill they don't have. Also metagaming. With RUclips guides every game is solved (theoretically, not mechanically) and everyone doing same builds/strats.

They’re designed to make you think and make choices on your own, a few hours of taxi or faide and everyone’s tap straffing and super gliding. Half of the community wouldn’t know how to do that if they didn’t have those guys to watch. They’d have to learn it on their own which is usually an accident. Which is why these games die, they become boring to the good players and the new players get rolled and don’t wanna play anymore. The skill gap between new and experienced is astronomical compared to the halo days per se.

I think the akimbo mozam/p2020 fall under the same category as being able to miss a lot of shots but still getting knocks.

I agree with Mande that normal pubs can be cancerous due to the fact you run into 3 stack 4k 20 bomb squads and occasionally, 3 stack pred squads. There's no way to close the skill gap for newer players like me when these guys have probably been playing since the game first came out. Even worse is running into the 3 stack pred teams in Mixtape. Idk why but the matchmaking will always pair me with people around my skill level or lower and then these pred teams are with guys just like them. All this still doesn't beat the packet loss issues though.
No offence to the players like Mande, the problem is you don't really have a chance to beat the 3 men pred team.
As your rank goes up, you will encounter more 3 men pred team. Even if a solo against them is better than all of the preds, he won't survive in 1v3 situation vs. preds.
Therefore, the solo has to find his teammate. And it will cause the decrease of total player amount because all 3 guys on the team must be able to play apex at the same time.
This disastrous cycle will affect more and more people as time goes by. What a tragedy.
The real question is, is it really worth the time to achieve Predator rank without earning any money from it? All the hard work, effort, and countless hours put into it, along with the yelling, blaming, and toxicity within your 3-man team of friends (not to mention: same schedule, finding time, playing minimum of 5-6 hours everyday = disastrous cycle), make it worth playing every day? If you are streaming, have a RUclips channel, and are earning from it, then YES! But if not, then you are wasting your time in real life. Sad but TRUE.
The ranked Apex culture is so wrong in so many levels.
You have pro players holding hands running rampant in freaking Platinum lobbies.
You have the casual players "9-5" Andies that think the world revokves around them and think they deserve tl be masters.
I wish the community was more like league of legends, solo q is the norm there, and solo q would fix a lot of issues with ranked matchmaking, but the pros and casuals wouldn't let that happen.

Apex Legends and Overwatch are two of my favorite games of all time. I can still enjoy Apex but OverWatch became unplayable for me. It's very sad what they did to these two amazing games.

05:04 and i am completely agree, as a casual gamer i do not want to play on high rank, nor to play against pro sweaties like mande. sadly, it is not an option for modern competitive gaming. you WILL be rekt in overwatch (or other competitive game) after your 8 hours shift by this pro gamer that spends 6 hours on games a day minimum. and there is nothing you can do, other then just not play this games
Because ranked came out, and the game went from people pushing fights to people turtling in buildings for placement og kings canyon was fun because there wasnt this placement mentality, everyone just went for fights
i stopped playing ranked seasons ago because it's just a waste of time. Doesnt represent skill when solo queueing and it's just rng depending on what teammates you get. Cycle of playing as a rat every game you get bad teammates then when you get semi competent ones, you can actually try and gain rp. I used to comm all the time in ranked but now i just play ranked to have slower games, more so than rank up cause i just don't care anymore.
I think you fail to realize that casuals make up 90 if not 95% of the playerbase, put yourself into a developers shoes and think about what % of players you would cater to to make the game have a longevity in it.
And when you solo queue you get the most dogs hit teammates that the game can give you while you’re still battling the sweats
7:39 that 1v2 was disgusting. Even more so was the 1v1 after your first knock. You both were hitting crazy moves. Drives the point home that there should be no way a casual player should be able to beat that with any character because that kinda thing takes a LOT of practice and hard work

I mean we do live in a society where people blame everyone and everything but themselves when they fail. It's not surprising EA, who is trying to make money caters to that mentality. They're not here to change that mentality if it brings in the money.

100% agree, lots of games are trending towards accessibility over fair competition. The TTK feels so low right now in apex with low skill chodes spewing hemlock and nemesis bursts. Up close your facing 3x havocs almost guaranteed. This game was always a half step between what they wanted to do (Titanfall) and what was actually making money. Call of duty, BR's etc. Now Apex is just a total money grab as the engine ages and politics at EA and respawn seem to be shifting.

If you combine the comment about three stacking and the 30% accuracy it gets crazier. Each of the pred stack monkeys need to hit 4/32 bullets to kill a guy in less than a second

Played solo apex all the time in normals games, not even that good at the game have like a 1.8 kd and would be matched up against 3 stacks preds and masters with 20 bombs every game. Made me completely quit apex couldn't even relax on the game anymore so sad because I think apex has some of the best movement and gunplay compared to other BRs

Honestly it's not even just apex and overwatch, It feels like 80% of the multiplayer games are like this. And 100% true I only play them with friends, never by myself. If I am the only one on then I'll play and actually good game like Elden ring.
Mastiff and PK are the worst weapons ever in this game. With Hemlok and Nemesis you actually have to aim, with PK you just flick and it does 120dmg, but when you aim it does 9 or 18.

overly catering to casuals is what eventually ruins a competitive game, casuals have absolutely zero clue what they are talking about they are so use to being spoon-fed things that create the delusion that they are good at a game that they start acting as if they have a clue about anything in the first place. For example apex with aim assist and overwatch with the hero balancing and raid bosses.

I agree with Mande on everything except for about being obscene on camera. Professional sports are held to a higher standard and you absolute should get fined for flipping the bird at the viewers or saying a bunch of crazy shit. Apex ranked is a Joke. Had a triple pred badge guy in my team two weeks ago while in Gold 3. Bro almost carried the game with 4.7k dmg and 15 kills until we got wiped by triple ex pred squad because my other teammate and I had like 500 dmg each. Why is this a thing?
Overwatch its so alive there is no comparision with Apex tbh.
The competitive scene was dead for years and lost almost all of its casual fan base by not releasing the PVE overwatch that Blizzard promised.

he's not 100% right on the ow/owl stuff, but yeah games making characters/weapons have too low of a skill requirement is a massive issue. The less mechanical skill something requires to use, the more game iq should be required to get value and vice versa. Giving people free value always ruins games.

You can't have fun in a game where cheaters show that they are cheating and can't get banned. There is at least 5 cheaters per lobby (on a good day) making sure you dont have fun. This is why it's dead.
I think the problem with apex is the lack of casuals in the game. The game has a skill floor that isn’t very low and can kinda make peeps uninterested.

Its not the sbmm but people that play camping for placement should get -200 points if they got so much dmg but 1 or 2 kills. Because they do not engage in fights so why play ranked? Those players are garbage and so embarrassing like if apex was battlefield to sit in a building for 15 minutes.

its not about reloading itself, its about the time you need to kill someone within a short amount of time. hitting your shots constantly with the bow is insanely difficult, thats why almost noone uses it. the pull time of the bow is almost as long as a half hemlok mag lol.

@@mattgehringer8554 I’d argue that sweats create games, since popular games are the ones with a dedicated community. People watch the pros, try to get better, then the devs make the game easier for them, pros and streamers leave.
I'm a borderline sweat so I don't mind the sweats. To me what ruins these games is when they add mechanics and change the meta to lower the skill ceiling. I don't mind the game being easier to pick up but when you take out any incentive for skilled players who don't mind spending time to get better, your game is going to die off as soon as the next baby mode shooter comes out.

I just don't agree with the point, that highest rank are deserved just for players who spend 5hrs minimum per day! LOL! The only rank that would be that type is Preds. Every single other rank (except pred) IMO should be reachable if your skill allows it by playeing 300-500 ranked games per season! If you need 1.5-2k games to reach Masters, you are just a grainder that meight not deserve it because of your skills! It's a huge difference if you gain 5RP per game or 50RP per game.
