I used to be afraid of Macrovision when I was a kid. As it appeared at the end of Universal VHS and DVD releases. I’m from the early to mid 2000s. On DVD, it wasn’t too bad because at least it brought you to the special features menus on the respective DVD you’re watching. But on VHS tapes it actually scares me more because it was at the very end. After the logo was done, it just fades into the end of the tape with a black screen and that’s what scares me.
Yeah, if you must know, as soon editing was finished (I edited), I sent it to Erik, and out the video went (after he watched it) If not for my lack of focus, the Disney channel video would’ve come out weeks ago.
@@appleboy3973 Me too. I was also afraid of this logo as a kid. This logo appeared at the end of Universal Studios Home Entertainment DVD releases from 2000-07. As well as a few VHS releases from that time. Especially if it was at the end of VHS releases I would be absolutely terrified. For being on DVDs it's bad enough. But at least on DVDs it would take you to the Bonus Features menu of the DVDs. I can't say the same thing if it was at the end of a VHS tape, as there would absolutely nothing afterwards as it was at the end of a tape.
@@appleboy3973 I had the same problem with the Macrovision Quality Protection logo when I was a kid. Especially when I was watching Universal Studios Home Entertainment DVD releases from 2000-2007 as well as a few Universal VHS tapes from around that time. At least on DVDs, I was able to tolerate it a little bit more as it went to the Bonus Features selection of the main menus, but on VHS tapes, it scared me even more as it was at the very end of the tape and nothing else after it. It just faded to a black screen afterwards.
Gonna be honest the mickey one was the creepiest. The whole thing was just unnnerving. From the monochrome colors, eerie sounds, and the wasp at the end just made for a pretty unsettling experience.
My god, the Turner home entertainment logo is creepy as fuck especially the funeral bell sound at the end and the shadow that looks like black stuff running down from the two windows. I would hide when it would come on and to this day my sister gives me grief about it

Im happy im not the only person who was scared of the spiffy logo as a kid

3:10 great logo I love it and the person saying the name of the company is so great. It sounds like an action movie company.

Well, it is Halloween so.. that Disney Channel bumper from the 80s is actually a fit.
The shutdown sound from Windows 2003 felt like something was ending to me. Idk why.
Stop kids for saying first 🗿
As a kid, Whenever the macrovision logo appeared on screen, I would alway run out of the room every time that happened.
Thank you!
Finally, someone else who had the same feeling

Não, mas falo português.
They also used the Apple MacOS logo in Cars 3
They did?
Man, I gotta rewatch Cars 3 at some point, I do NOT recall seeing the Mac OS logo there.
I never find any of Patrick's logos to be scary, except for maybe Asymmetrical Productions and Valve.
Ah well, it was bound to happen.
Some people just don’t scare like others do!
