I agree with almost every sentiment shared but think it's also important to recognize the history of corruption and poor ethical decisions made by the government and the pharmaceutical industry. A lot of people are too quick to assume malice but this doesn't mean it's wrong to be suspicious of such things. Governments and companies have made and maintained policies and recommendations during the pandemic that didn't align with the scientific evidence available at the time assuming their priority was the health and well being of the people. In my opinion Hanlon's razor doesn't quite cut it for many of these cases, at the least, the degree of stupidity and willful ignorance crosses in to gross negligence and the cost is the lives of innocent people.

Yes, but companies and countries have always made mistakes. That's not new. And there have always been bad actors. I would say we are living in exceptionally good times compared to past centuries.
I think there is a fundamental misunderstanding about how a country or a company works. We don't trust people! We trust the SYSTEM! Our system has incentives and controls in place to prevent corruption. Lots of things that people claim aren't possible.
Furthermore, we do not distrust without evidence. If we did that, the entire population would go to prison. We would also waste thousands of hours in court for nothing. Just look at the Biden investigation. They investigated for five years without a single piece of evidence. They have wasted millions of dollars and time. Time they could have used to pass laws and solve problems.
I just think that most people don't have the ability to process information. People don't even know what's true. I can't believe adults don't have a way to check what the truth is. That's crazy! What did they do in high school? What did they learn? These methods have been used for centuries. There are very simple methods:
      1. Check what left, center and right wing sources say on a topic. What they agree on is probably true.
      2. Check the original source.
But most people only read headlines, hence stay misinformed. Their ideas are sometimes so insane that you don't even need fact checking!

This is very interesting. Finding a villain, Self grandiosity, the main character complex, the stress induced response of it all. It squares up perfect with myself in my past conspiracy phase, and others that I know. Even so, I call my conspiracy phase my most deeply depressed time of my life. I was always on a treasure hunt and so many people just wouldn’t give me the time of day. Now that doesn’t necessarily mean the conspiracy was wrong, but likely inaccurate in one or many ways. The world is very complex. I will be listening to this a few more times and thinking on it for a few days. I’ll be back.
