He’s going to be a superstar in the NBA. Just a hunch based on tools/aggressiveness and base skills being so evolved already. He will take time but I truly believe he’ll be a superstar center.
The kid is a diamond in the rough, but he needs to be polished. He has height, wingspan, body, his shooting mechanic is acceptable, he doesn't look clumsy bouncing the ball and he even handles the fadeaway!!!! And he just turned 18 years old. Duke has gotten a gem, although he will need to work on defense as he makes a lot of mistakes and only defends with the stopper, and overall understanding of the game.
I’m a big fan of Khaman. He’s an outstanding athlete with everything NBA teams want positionally, a coachable prospect, by all accounts a great teammate, and he only keeps improving both his skill set and his production. Maluach needs refinement, especially in the pick and roll defensively, but he has time and tools on his side. I can also understand some of the hesitation I’ve heard about recent BAL/NBA Academy Africa players like Thierry Darian and Babacar Sané struggling to adapt after going to the USA but Maluach will be in a different context at Duke and I also think he’s a much better prospect.
Khaman should model his game after Siakam. I see some Siakam in him already.. I feel like that would make him unique as a big man center him and Rocco Zikarsky are probably my favorite centers of the class. Zisic right there too
I hope Khaman is watching Joel Embiid and Dereck Lively tape. Lively for defense and how to excel doing the basics of his role, Embiid for face-up and shotmaking flashes. Siakam can do a lot of face-up stuff too and his footwork is excellent, so it's always good for forwards of any type to be watching him also.
His lack of polish on O concerns me. I think filling out his frame to become a more physical presence in the paint on O is underrated aspect to his development. It is something that the NBA training staffs have a good history of.
Yeah, I think Khaman has the weight and frame but not the technique maybe. His strength can probably be distributed a bit better as well. I think he can be better, from a technique standpoint, at how he loads up and plays off two feet - especially out of lower gathers. But theoretically fixable with NBA player dev and athletic teams.
@@mikegribanov6105 iTHINK his size is adequate. You don't need/want to add on too much weight. Running up and down, constantly jumping, is why probably so many Bugs fail to last. Gobert is far from heavy and he has been able to stay healthy

I’m with you. Super high on Khaman. He’s gonna do everything he can to get to where he wants to be. Thanks for watching!

Impressive footage and analysis. Assuming he's drafted within the lottery, which team do you think would be the best fit for him? Thanks!
I like Toronto, Washington, and San Antonio best for Khaman right now thinking about teams likely to be in the lottery. Thanks for watching as always!
HAWKS
My Hawks (Lakers pick) should snatch Holmes up ASAP!!!
Playing with Trae Young would be a dream...
Naw we gonna get him with the kings pick we gonna get Cooper Flagg with the Lakers pick book it
@dwaynep7246 Whatevers Clever but we need an upgrade at Center.

If Raptors fall short in the Lottery, he’s their man, especially with Masai Ujiri’s African Ties!
He'd be a dream for Toronto. I'd love for this to happen.

SIXERS!!!
Legitimately has flashes of a young Joel Embiid… but Philly’s season would have to go really badly for them to pick so high up.
@FloorandCeiling I'm all for that.....trading Embiid. I'm also advocating for sending Maxey to LAL for CWoods, Vanderbilt and picks.
welcome to Houston
He's a good fit there I think, but Houston would need to move up the draft.
Well, hopefully these guys pan out. Thus far the 2024 draft class is looking pretty basic right now.
It’s still super early days for the 2024 class - but 2025, in theory, should be better at the top.
