In NW Fla. Everglades tomato grow literally like weed. I get too many voluteers! My "heat tollerant" tomatoes always die in the early summer from the heat. I will try shade cloth next year.

Everglades tomatoes are a life changer. I bought one plant from a nursery 5 years ago and have never needed to worry about them again.
The plant usually dies back in the summer heat/humidity, rip it up, and then just quickly after you’ll see volunteers popping up

lol. Everglades tomatoes have the been the hardest for me. I kill then pretty quickly. All my other tomatoes have done well. I’m in Cape Coral so the heat this far south in the state has made it challenging for me to figure out exactly when to start seeds and / or direct sow.

Love Everglades tomatoes! Those volunteers do have a way of popping up where you don't want them to be. Prepare to transplant!😊
