nice to see you doing videos again!
Didn't know what it was called, but I have done this!!!
Hügelkultur. Hügel means hill.
You're wasting a lot of space by not utilizing those block cavities. Good vid
What? it is a perennial vine? 😮😮😮
In Louisiana we call them merliton.
Great tips!!!
Nice tip!
I’ve been looking for a Florida version of @NativeHabitatProject Do you know about his channel?
Finally, a YT channel that does plants native to Florida and not just freaking lawns!!! Thank you very much! Looking forward to more native plants so that I can start bringing back my property to its former glory.
Well, you just got a new subscriber.
Everglades tomato Sweet potatoes Okra Cow peas Puerto Rican black beans Surinam spinach Longevity spinach Katuk Brazilian spinach Malabar & Ethiopian spinach New Zealand kale Sage and all herbs if kept in shade Loquat tree Mango tree Mulberry tree
Bro, put yourself in that blender
How do you use it?
It’s a little gay.
Thank you for putting it all in one video
Awesome and thank you for sharing, this is my project for next spring!!👊👊👊👊
Been here in Florida for 12 years now and just getting into Everglades tomatoes, wish me luck. Zone 9b here
How did you make the bed?
I can make a video!
Smart but id paint it perfect
Yeah we used some old wood that had been stained with UV protection and we didn't have anymore of it so we just rolled with it!
👍🏻🌵🌺
Thank you so much for the tip!
Can you do some that grow good in pots for those who don’t have lots of space
Yeah!!!
@@flgardening813 thank you sir
Very good
There's so many more than that 😂😂😂😂 there's so many low chill fruits it'd make your head spin.
Do so cal native fruits n vegtable
Sir, I cannot hear you over your music lol
Awesome video as always! Try to leave the name up for a little longer for the older folks 👍
Thank you and Will do! 😁 perennial peanut!
you have such gentle energy
Hello my fellow Floridian friend! 813 gang!
813!!!
Lol
fence pickets make great garden build materials
We grow it in Brooksville, Florida, 9A. It dies back in the winter, but comes back in the late spring.
How often?
Great vid
Have you ever tried to root crepe myrtle?
Is dollar weed edible? Bidens alba is, and the meat rabbits love it. Our Florida garden is done for the summer, we didn’t plant sweet potatoes, okra or Seminole pumpkins this year.
Great video! I was actually trying to grow Bidens Alba because of its medicinal value. I have a couple in little pots, but the ones that I tried to put elsewhere didn't make it. That's fascinating that in your yard they grow like weeds. Lol
Have you considered bottom watering? So you could build a pressure valve for it to release the water to the next trays. The trays should be put on bottom parts withoug holes, with that the plants suck up the water they need and you can't under/overwater
I made one years ago for making sprouts for animal feed, there are some videos out there, I think my trays were tilted to drain from one to the other on the way down, might spark an idea, good luck! You'll figure it out
It looks brilliant! I'm sure you will get the kinks worked out. Thank you so much for everything that you share on your channel. Gardening here in Florida is definitely different. 🌱🌞
How do you get your sage to grow nice and big like that? I'm in Northeast Florida.
What are the benefits?
What do you do about summer deceases on my plants.
Another bean to add to your summer growing list is long beans. I'm growing them for the first time this summer in zone 9b sw Florida, and they are delicious and prolific. I'm also growing french sorrell, which is a lemony leafy green great in salads and stir fry. I'm also growing Jamaican Sorrell or Florida cranberry. And sugarbab6 watermelons. I actually have a thriving garden in this scorching heat. 😊
I find the Cupid variety cherry tomato from Totally Tomatoes grows really well here in Florida.
Give shade cloth a try, you’ll thank me later..😀
I love longevity spinach and Okinawa spinach. 💚
Id be concerned if the moisture might make the wood swell, stopping movement? Not made one before so not an expert but seems like a risk
It could! Ill be sure to post something if this ends up being a total fail 🤣
How long do you figure the boards in contact with the compost will last?
I have a very similar set up. The front boards are painted hardwood boards. They've been there since we moved in 3 years ago, probably even longer than that
Not sure exactly but at least a few years. To extend the life I could always seal them with an eco friendly garden safe sealer.
