To be fair, the only time people EVER clap or cheer in a movie theater nowadays, outside of Premiere Night, is when they are watching Marvel Flims or Demon Slayer. Anything other than that gets little to no reaction.
Personally I could never enjoy the finale of a TV show I like in this environment but this crowd definitely reflected what I was feeling on the inside when I watched it

One was the bar Mike punches Walter, a couple of other breweries around town, somewhere adjacent to where the exterior of Saul’s offices were shot (I missed that one), and the finale was at Hotel Albuquerque. It was a ton of fun. Watching Ozymandias with an entire restaurant full of people hanging on to every second of it is one of my favorite movie/tv experiences

I loved this show watching alone, but watching it recently with my parents (whom I was staying with for a few months. They didn't know anything about the plot) was a lot of fun. We would watch one almost every night, but as we neared the end: on a Sunday evening, we had time so I suggested: let's watch Granite State and Felina back to back. It was awesome.
Living in ABQ you have to understand that probably just about everybody here either knew someone who worked on the show or saw the film trucks around town for the last 7 years and with it's success it really became a source of pride for the community DESPITE the violent subject matter. Not unlike the residents of the HOME ALONE house watching THAT movie for the first time after having their home taken over for weeks..
Because it's a very dark and morbid show. Some people go into things wanting a happy ending, Breaking Bad just doesn't have that. It shows people the harsh reality of life. It's not exactly for everyone.

There's always something _so_ emotional and moving about a show's finale. Doesn't matter what show it is. It's the show's final chance to say goodbye and go out in real style. _3rd Rock from the Sun_ and _The Big Bang Theory_ also had a very nice final outro.
For me, I knew the series was really over when Walt's hand slipped off the steel pressure tank and he fell back out of camera range, leaving a smear of blood on the steel tank.
watching something "live" should be way cooler because the energy of all people like fuse together but.. if you scream like an animal i won't understand a single word of the show haha
Side note pretty crazy how after the sopranos we root for the anti hero Walt is a pos evil manipulative pride and ego drivin that turned cold blooded and we still clap and cheer when he does good crazy how tv changed from boring shows like CSI and young and restless to deeply character drivin shows

Walt has destroyed his life, his family, and killed many people. At this point all he could do was kill the Nazis that killed his brother in law and took Jesse hostage, and then die. Maybe then some people would be able to live on and save themselves.
for the people who wanna share the experience i'd imagine this is great. for those who dont and just want to watch in peace and quiet there's always. watching it at home
