This is actually the recording of Saturn’s magnetosphere when Voyager 1 & Voyager 2 reached their second destination to Saturn in October 1980 and August 1981

This is the sound of the solar wind colliding with the magnetic field of Jupiter and the sound of Saturn's Rings as Voyager 1's radio beam was aimed at them to guage Ring Density.
The Awe and Majesty of these sounds is beyond words.

The "Symphonies of the Planets" series is essentially human-generated synthesizer music with no recognizable relationship to the natural plasma wave signals recorded by the Voyagers. NASA had nothing to do with these or with the previous CD sets produced by Brain/Mind Research.
If you're interested in why we call plasma waves "space audio", then search for a video titled "What Space Sounds Like - ACOUSTICS"

what do you mean brain/mind research?

    • @Space-Audio
      @Space-Audio 10 лет назад

Brazen Turtle At the time of publication of the original CD's, the organization was called "Brain/Mind Research". They claimed to be experts in areas such as "therapeutic audio".

@@Space-Audio I still have a complete set of the original CD's in storage. If memory serves correctly, they do not record audio, but the do record electromagnetic waves and then "translate", or scale, these frequencies to the audio spectrum. However, they don't use synthesizers to add new synthetic noises. They translate the recorded data into the audio frequency spectrum.

@@atwaterpub, well no. We are the source of *all* of the plasma wave audio from the Voyager project (and many others). Back in the 90's when our data was available via anonymous ftp, Jeffrey Thompson (a chiropractor) asked about downloading the data and making audio CD's. At the time, the available files were public domain, so I helped him understand how to extract the data. I didn't find out about the results of his projects until several years after they were released. The scientists here didn't really care and considered the products "creative interpretations" of the data. Unfortunately, they falsely claimed to be official NASA products, which they definitely were not. They may have used our data in some fashion, but sound nothing like the natural signals. Some of the later "Symphonies of the Planets" disks are definitely mostly human-generated synthesizer music. See space.physics.uiowa.edu/plasma-wave/voyager-audio.html

We have a different understanding of what a "music synthesizer" is and what it does... That is fine.
Thank you for your thoughtful response.

Not actual sound, like we hear. This sound can be taken from either the light waves from the planets converted into sound, or, The x=rays converted into sound waves made into sound we can hear.

      Thörkelsson 68 i.ytimg.com/vi/LA_AWNb2MvU/maxresdefault.jpg
1 And, for the future, right click on a empty spot on any youtube video and click on *(view page source)*
      2 Then use *(Control + F)*
3 Then search for: *(maxresdefault)* or *(.jpg)* - without the brackets obviously
4 Then follow the link and you'll get the picture and can save it from there
5 The link will look similar to the one included above
This way you can always find the screenshot used for the cover or thumbnail - unfortunately it isn't alway 1080p - especially if it's only the thumbnail

You hate it because you do not want to believe there is a Creator God or one in authority over the universe.
Yet this is a beautiful picture that God exists. He created the body you are walking around in. It is a marvelous
creation in itself. There is a deceiver in the world today to blind the eyes of people so that they do not
believe the truth but a lie. Please reconsider how we were created, the earth was formed and how each
of us are marvelously made into the creation He would have us to be at this time.
