Very well done! I found it quite helpful as I am considering this pedal. One idea: when demonstrating the bass enhancement button.. when engaged, you changed your plucking technique to naturally bring out more bass, and moved up closer to the neck. When disengaged - the oppisite (more attack style, and closer to the bridge). I promise I'm not complaining. This is meant to be constructive feedback. Again, I found this review excellent and very helpful. Thank you!
Great review Gaz, I have been looking for a proper video on this pre for a while now. Thanks! BTW the xover point on the compressor sits at 333Hz. Cheers, Marco
Yeah 1:40 Jazz Odyssey. I used to work for TE back in the early 90s - I remember they used to use specially modified celestion speakers for the TA 50 and 100 - and that modification ..... was a sticker we had to put on the back saying specially modified by TE.
I agree with that. A scooped sound is great in a practice room, but in a loud live band situation, it makes you less heard and harder for people to discern your notes.
Clearly it was easier and cheaper to implement with red as "in tune" because of their green color scheme. Honestly that it's reversed shouldn't make a bit of difference in practice.

love sonicstate :D gaz and nick are so awesome, would love to meet them one day and discuss synthesis and music with them! :D
Your live gigs must be fun ! Cheers !
Would you run this direct to the desk?
nice video would you recommend this for recording bass at home straight into an interface?
Good review a good way to get a slap sound live is not to do the smile EQ boost the low mids.

You would expect it to be green when it is in tuen and red when it is not in tune. Not very intuitive.

Amazing bass Gaz! What year is that?
lose3111 it’s my friend Guy's bass. I think it’s a 1976 P Bass.
Cool shoes!
If I see well, you linked the Trasit B from its INST Output to the Elf's Input, am I right?
Roland Aira alert! ;)
Would have been nice to actually hear it.
Who the hell is this guy? Haha
