Oh yeah! I used to live in a log house. It was fairly big for a log house with 2 bedrooms, a breezeway between them and a pretty big kitchen with high ceilings. Most people don't have a clue about Sycamore because the old secret is that it had to be rotten! An old family secret passed down for generations in my old Irish family from back in the 1500's when they first came to America from Northern Ireland. I learned so many things from my old family, especially my Dad, about survival in the wilds and backwoods. Bottom line is...this girl would love me! We would be a perfect match! Even though I have lived, and know a lot about living in the wild, I am college educated and had a successful career in high tech telecommunications.

If you're doing strenuous exercise, it's appropriate to wear less. When we would ruck march in the Army in winter, first thing they'd make us do is take off our coats/jackets.

an Alaska Native once told me, if your feet are cold, put a hat on. Wearing proper clothing for the weather really works!

I remember doing this when I was 8 months pregnant and navigating the ice covered path back to the house. I miss those days of a wood burning fireplace. Flash forward and I have a zero clearance propane fireplace with a click of the switch it’s on. Selling and moving to a smaller older home with real fireplaces again!!
I was watching this video and then my neighbour came and we watched it together. He said that this video changed his life and touched his heart. And then I went and rented a projector in a big field and my entire community watched it and it changed their lives too. We all are so grateful.

Oh yeah! I used to live in a log house. It was fairly big for a log house with 2 bedrooms, a breezeway between them and a pretty big kitchen with high ceilings. Lived on top of the highest hill around and it sure got cold and windy in the winter! I had a wood burning cooking stove in the kitchen and a well just outside the back door. I my bedroom I got an old Ashley Woodburner stove. I relined it with firebricks and put a good layer of sand in the bottom. I planned ahead, of course, and laid in a huge supply of wood for the winter. In my area, in the woods of Kentucky, I had some great wood just ideal for heating like Oak, Hickory, Yellow Locust and one of my secrets was Sycamore, but it had to be rotten Sycamore to burn good and hot! Most people don't have a clue about Sycamore because the old secret is that it had to be rotten! An old family secret passed down for generations in my old Irish family from back in the 1500's when they first came to America from Northern Ireland. I learned so many things from my old family, especially my Dad, about survival in the wilds and backwoods.
Bottom line is...this girl would love me! We would be a perfect match! Even though I have lived, and know a lot about living in the wild, I am college educated and had a successful career in high tech telecommunications.
