+robiking011 I'm extremely aware of where Spain is and its culture, having been there nearly every summer and winter with most of my family being Spanish or of direct Spanish descent (Asturian, more specifically). I just said it would be interesting to see, and I have no idea where you get your notion from. That seems more like a personal opinion than it does a consensus all Spaniards have come to. It probably won't ever happen, though; Flama seems to be more Latin American-oriented rather than Hispanic-oriented.

Hola, soy Mexicano. Me podrias aclarar tres cosas?
      - Que paso en la copa del 70?
      - Quie es Paola Bracho?
      - Ustedes en Brasil veian el Chavo del Ocho?😆 He notado que en sudamerica es muy reconocido ese programa de tv, pero aqui en Mexico no era tan importante. Muchos lo veian y todos lo conocen, pero no me parece que sea tan importante como lo es en sudamerica.

    • @emnisopu
      @emnisopu 8 лет назад +25

      - Chavo del Ocho É UM SUCESSO ENORME no Brasil.

I don't think the Aztec invented it, or else it wouldn't be in South America as well. They have tamales too. The Mayan also ate it. And on top of that the Aztec also made their way to both Guatemala and especially El Salvador. I love all tamales by the way. They are all very different so it depends on my mood. Also tamales are more than food, we all have some type of emotional connection to them because of our family, tradition etc so I think we'll always be biased to what we like when it comes to food especially with tamales.

It is not our fault that we Mexicans create higher ratings in tv and they always put us in the spotlight. We mexicans(the real ones) hate being mentioned everywhere for the bad stuff and hate being blamed for bad things other Latinos do even if they're Mexican or not. We are tired that other Latin American countries hate us because we try to take the spotlight and we don't try. Like it or not media likes to squeeze Mexico bad news and make it bigger . Talk to media about it, to Univision for example who is full of Cubans. everywhere we go there is someone talking shit about a Mexican but with a tamal and a Coca-Cola bottle in their hands . Yes we all have delicious food , and beautiful women , and all those things that makes us differently beautiful; but we Mexico become the spotlight because we are the next door neighbor to the U.S Aand the closest target . So instead of bitching about Mexico trying to take over , why not start shining bright and big .

+Ornella Fabiola yes, twice (if we only count after the Spanish conquest) The first Mexican ruler after our independence was Emperor Agustín de Iturbide. The second Mexican empire was ruled by Maximiliano de Habsburgo.
If we count the prehispanic era then the Mexica (Aztecs) were an empire that, indeed, extended their influence to Central America as it is evident not only by the Spanish account that say that the people of Costa Rica (Great Nicoya) speak the Mexican Language (see Fernandez de Oviedo's chronicles).
The Mexican influence, language and symbolism reached far and wide, but then again it all depends on what you perceived as Mexican since the country as we know it was a Spanish creation. Nevertheless, the presence of cultures that were native to what is now Mexican territory have been felt throughout the continent of America.

Leaving the humor aside, I think we need continue to see the Latino Community as a whole and avoid the ignorant ones that judge everything "Latino" as Mexican.

Hahaha this is true. Mexicans can be quite conceited and focus a lot on who their friends are, what they wear, and who they socialize with. Not to mention they feel entitled to attention since they are the "La Estrella Hispana" due to their influential and dominant regional culture (media, music, tv shows, entertainment, etc.)

Burritos originally from Mexican-American people. So I agree completely with your comment. The burrito it's a Tex-Mex food, not Mexican food.

Did they really say Alejandro inarritu has enough Oscars and he needs to share the spotlight? He worked for that success. He doesn't have to share it with anyone but himself and those who helped guide him.
